No one wants to sign up for unnecessary accounts. The PSN account wasn't required at launch, and shouldn't be required now. Companies are greedy for data that they do nothing of value with, and there is no benefit to the player. Finally the fact that the publisher, Sony, sold the game in markets where you can't even register a PSN account in shows how ignorant and detrimental their decision was.

Edit: Thank you Sony for making a sensible decision and not requiring a PSN account for PC gaming.
