I recommend it, because its fun, but tentatively because the handling sucks so, so incredibly bad compared to other nfs. Restarting a race 5-6 times in a row because controls didnt respond is piss.

This game is a really fun and cute way to spend time with friends for hours at a time. Solo play is okay too when you do finally get the hang of it or have dungeons unlocked but this is definitely a multiplayer-centered experience. The only real downsides are that if you don't have a pretty good pc, it may crash, and there are a lot of visual glitches and bugs or just outright confusing way that the light affects the colors of some models of hair/clothes/skins that makes them look entirely different shades on if you're inside or outside that may be a bother to some. (I know it bugged me, and still sort of does, but it became ignorable.) Haven't really encountered anything entirely game-breaking though.

Overall a 4-star experience. I wouldn't get it unless you have friends who are interested or it's on sale.

Kept trying to play it for the nostalgia aspect, but barely anything is the same anymore and the playerbase is half dead or just botted/scammers. It's just gotten worse and worse and more pay to win ever since it stopped being run by OutSpark. If you want to stop back in to remember the good old days, don't bother because it's not going to be anything like you remembered it. Wish they'd just let this game die so people can just make it a part of internet preservation for free and nobody has to keep going back to or paying for sucky garbage.

edit since it made me update after playing an additional 817 hours. Still toxic. I have a problem. Someone please come rescue me. I'm in pet game hell. I refuse to leave. Blinky stole my wallet.

I wanted to like this game but I can't. Here's a few reasons.
- Bad sound design overall. Terrible voice acting, sound effects louder than they should be and not so great music.
- No real reason to be invested in the plot, nothing happening feels impactful or important. I'm not really made to feel a part of the world or care for it at all.
- Incredibly bad dialogue, that really contributes to the above point as well.
- Excessively handholdy, makes me, the player, feel like a child being talked down to.
- The game is trying to be about 3 different art styles at once and it's lack of picking one makes the game feel weird and visually grating. Also the way the sprites jiggle so much so fast is just uncomfortable to look at.

For all that, I guess some of the creature designs are pretty? But it's not enough to save this disaster.

Having played the original, this one is definitely better in most regards. My only complaint is several visual bugs that pop up after playing the game for multiple hours at a time, which can be easily fixed by saving closing and reloading the game.

UI is a disaster. Very cluttered, can't seem to disable random pop ups, things are in the wrong places or showing through menu screens when they shouldn't, the discord box was stuck and blocking me from options in the character creation menu. When I was finally able to tweak settings to the proper resolution it somehow made things even worse. It's a shame really. I was hoping for something like Fiesta and the videos on here made it seem fun and promising. I just can't be bothered to play a game that looks so disorganized. Players are also very hostile to questions and helping newbies navigate the mess.
