Have not gotten to far into the game yet but so far its good chaos control feels like a great addition to the sonic formula.
Though I was disappointed after the introduction of the doom wings they weren't a permanent upgrade. I was hoping they would lend themselves to level design more separate from sonic's though does give a reason to play through the level a second time.
overall an A rank experience.

sums up how I feel about this game. the game was at a point fun you can mess around with a good number of builds. now just play red ink and face tank everything. not that the red ink is op it's just everyone else just stinks and the enemies feel spongy with out a highly specific build. good luck getting that with out rng savers you get 2 rerolls have fun.
this game went from being a fun successor to risk of rain into afk pain tank simulator.

this game is amazing and it makes me feel like a god of a Chinese power fantasy novel.
pros:
great graphics.
great combat.

down sides:
the games so pretty I have trouble getting lost so hard getting distracting looking at the great environments and hitting the occasionally invisible wall in the opening area.
the English dub doesn't have lip-syncing so its a bit jarring but the VA's sound like a great fit for the characters.

the equipment in this dlc (aside from the curio which is a sprint speed up) aren't that useful outside of the literally the start of the game due to them seemingly being not upgradable. I managed to kill every boss i could find up to the white noble and they get laughably out stat'd immediately the set effect is nice but its stats suck so much. hopes this gets changed.

this is play time for the dlc I've already gone 3 hours deep in the base game and as I said the gear immediately got out classed anyways.

base game is great would recommend to everyone.

I'm just saying this dlc isn't worth it without some minor changes to let the gear not suck compared to even gear you can craft in the beginning of the game. maybe give the weapon a crafting tree like the others? up the defense to the armor or give it more enticing traits,

note: the pre-order bonus was great, full heal on first sip means its useful all of early game.

update: as big toes in the comments mentioned and I did confirm apparently armor upgrades unlock In chapter three but I'll change the review when I unlock it so I can see the impact.

won't change the review of the weapon its still pretty bad.

the curio is still okay might have speed run applications since it is a unique speed up but for now.

for now still not worth unless you just wanna support the devs or it goes on sale.

This May Not Be A Permanent Belief Since Game Could Drop Some Awful Update, But It Is One Of The Kindest Gachas I've Seen In A Long Time With The Ability To Farm Universal Pity Currency To Just Buy What You Want. To The Viability Of Starter Units And A Lack Of 12 Ultra Super Rarities Of Units Means The Games Pretty F2P Friendly.

quite bad expecting it to scratch that leaf blower idle itch but lacks most of the features that makes it re-playable and interesting the manager system feels horrendous as does the currency systems not nearly as free to play friendly as the goat
