Edit @1850 hours

Lets start off with the good parts, there are a few but it gets worse.

- in regards to building there's nothing like it, if you can think of it you can make it
- frequent updates (we'll get into that later)
- somewhat good vehicle physics (only in regards to ships)
- great support for lua integration and good logic system
- a damage model (only okay for ships)
- singleplayer creative works when it wants to

Now into the worse parts of the game

- crashes crashes and more crashes, optimization is not a thing in this game
- campaign is impossible to play longer then an hour because it'll probably crash
- multiplayer gets more broken each update
- developers that dont seem to be interested in actually fixing things, instead opting to focus on adding more content to lure new players in
- dedicated servers rely on floating point calculations overly much, and they weigh that responsibility far too much on the small specialized floating point calculation unit, this makes it a game that does not benefit anything from multi-core cpu's not even single core for that matter, its just straight up baffling how poorly optimized the dedicated servers are
- dedicated servers, since they were released in version 1.0 have had a memory leak issue that eats up 2GB of ram every 24 hours (after a play session of 30 minutes, then idle activity) luckily it will never eat up those 2 full gigs of ram because it would probably crash before then
- dedicated server management is abhorrent, no native support for auto-saving, auto restarting and automatically authing people
- mission scripting is now broken as of the implementation of LUA, there are no guides, information or support for it and even the devs have admitted to not knowing how it works themselves
- there is no standardization (except for the most popular creators)
-workshop randomly puts stuff at the top whilst other creations with more or the same amount of subscribers dont show up

Thats about it for the game, the devs however, thats another story on itself.

From ignoring requests to censoring critizism, they've done it all, there is an overwhelming amout of stuff they've done that is so anti-community that i dont understand why there is still a community left.
when you critize anything on their discord you will get muted 24 hours to 7 days, at one point all the creators spoke up about it and all got threatened to stop or they would get banned

The only exception is trapdoor who is exceptionally helpful and really seems to care for the community

All in all, if you're looking for something to play just to build small stuff by yourself, go ahead i recommend it.
However if you plan to play with your friends or build bigger more detailed stuff, i'd look elsewhere

But hey, that's just my take on the game
