Don't let the simple graphics fool you, cause this one's a hoot! This is a very fun and highly customizable football game with lots of love put into it, and it was all made by just ONE GUY! While you won't find a deep franchise mode in here, there's a nice little season mode and a cool fantasy football inspired mode in addition to just exhibition games.

The league and team editors are simple, but offer some fun things for you to customize (you can give each team a CUSTOM MESSAGES ON THEIR JUMBOTRONS!). The lack of team logos also allows you to use your imagination more. Sure, you can recreate the NFL or the NCAA... but wouldn't you rather play as the "Daytona Hornets" that pay tribute to another beloved game? Point is... you can make your team and really feel like it's yours. Yes, it's not the deepest suite, but it's enough and can be pretty fun to come up with your own lore for your team.

Gameplay is a little bit mixed, mainly due to how slippery the controls are, but you can still get serious yardage (or even deny said yardage). There is no free movement for defensive players pre-snap or motions for offense either. However, there is absolutely NO PENALTIES! So, feel free just have fun playing the game. Oh, and sometimes on defense... you can get a late hit!

For $20, this is a pretty fun little football game. Very arcadey, highly customizable, and there's a pretty passionate community for it too. You can go the developer's Discord and find all kinds of custom leagues there. I made a team for one and I'm excited to see how that goes (they're the "Daytona Hornets: mentioned earlier). Anyway, please support this game (and maybe the little hockey game he made a few years back too). 26k has something really special here.

Get this game instead of Madden (and maybe Legend Bowl too, both games combined are cheaper than Madden anyway).
