Would not recommend, it's a fun game in my opinion, however, it's very buggy and crashes a lot or gets your character stuck in cut-scenes that wont load, it'll have your character just standing there with the cinematic camera looking over you but no other characters that are part of whatever scene you walk into spawn in and unless you alt tab and close the game, there's no way to open the menu. Earlier today I had an awning or tent or something, that had dynamics so it was able to be broken or ran over and moved, blew through the side of a building and clipped through walls and hit my character which caused my game to freeze and crash. I have issues trying to get into the St. Denis stable, every time I walk in, it just does the weird cinematic camera thing I mentioned prior. Dealing with other people isn't too bad, especially since you can just put on defensive mode, however, everyone is super competitive and I'd agree that this game has a toxic community/players, not all are this way, just seems to be the ones I've run into, both on console and PC. You can also definitely tell they're about EA level of monetization with the prices and amount of gold, on console I remember endlessly playing 10+ hours a day and still not scraping enough gold together to even get a dumb hairstyle. I enjoy the economic system of the game, showing you how money worked back in cowboy days as realistic as it can be, that's probably the only good aspect of the game. Horses bug just as much as the general interactions and parts of the world, and a lot of times will just randomly throw you off, even if you're not pushing it to sprint. All in all, 2/10 game; enjoyable game, part of my growing up on console, however the bugs make it simply unplayable now. I'm unsure if it's just the PC version of RDO or if all the updates just got too much for the game to handle, but I really don't remember it being this bad in the past aside from other players. I know as time goes on, this is just an ironic joke but do better, Rockstar.

wish i was told i needed Iceborn to actually use this. i know its kind of dumb to complain about a 2 dollar item but I do enjoy the character customization monster hunter world has to offer and I think it is sort of not smart to put an item up for sale that is from a DLC that requires said DLC and we are only told "oh yeah, it works with monster hunter world!" and the only hint that we need Iceborn is in the thumbnail and title for the item. If an item comes with the DLC it makes no sense to put it for sale when you can only use it when you have the DLC. :/

bIG nostalgia. but can't play or do anything bc everything is locked cuz you gotta get cRoWnS and you have to pay money or do quizzes on their website which only gets you like 10 crowns and the rest of the game costs like 500+ crowns PER GAME PART OR WHATEVER ITS CALLED

Honestly? Amazing game, my all time favorite. I recommend this game to everyone. The graphics may not be extremely realistic but the plot, story, game play, enemies, etc. are top notch in my opinion. This story line is an interesting, exciting, twisting road of a roller coaster and it's always keeping you on the edge of your seat. Once you get used to your situation, it throws you down more and more areas and introduces you to more parts of the story, more enemies, and more areas. One of the main reasons I absolutely adore this game is that it's one of a kind; you can't find a survival game anything like this, that makes you feel the same way this game does etc. My only critique is the relationship between Timmy and the Player. The main quest for the player is to find your son, Timmy, (to people who see this prior to playing the game, don't worry, this is no spoiler, it's introduced in the first five minutes of the game) though, I guess it depends on the player, but for me, I found that there isn't much emotional connection they give to help the players feel like they need to save Timmy because the game doesn't make him matter as much other than to move the plot along. Maybe that sounded a bit confusing, I don't know how to word this other than the player playing the role of Timmy's father isn't solidified well due to the lack of feelings and emotions we are given towards Timmy, all we are given is that he is our son. I would recommend that maybe the player is given a photo album in their backpacks, going through pictures of memories that the father character we play and Timmy had together. But it isn't a huge critique, because whether the game managed to solidify connection and feeling towards Timmy or not, I would still highly recommend it. I see this game as an amazing work of art and a plus to it is the musical scores along with the fact that all soundtracks of this game were homemade, and I, like.. +respect. I love the retro 80's type vibe they're going for along with making the scores able to portray emotion, such as with fighting, it's sort of rock, but angry and still keeping the retro vibe, and with confusion or sadness, its more low, soft, but is still using the synth/synth wave(?) sort of sounds to make downbeat sounds to portray down, sad feeling emotions as it is also used to be upbeat, to portray positivity, happiness, etc.
One more thing I'd like to add about this game is the mood and atmosphere changes. It's not so much like an actual change in the game's atmosphere but moreso that it's very good at cues to show when it's time to be serious and to pay attention to what you have to do, and when it's time to screw around. This game is able to be stupidly funny and still have the ability for it's players to take it seriously at the same time and I think that's a talent not many games have.
Anyways, I'd give this game a 15/10 if I could and if this game impressed me as much as it did and has a special place in my heart, then I absolutely await the arrival of their new game connecting to this one called Sons of the Forest.

this game really needs auto save, seriously.
if it did, i wouldn't have just lost 4 hours of progress when it crashed on me.
