I've spec out their gear with different key pieces so they don't overlap each other in the end. However, for the solo showcases where i aim to 1-turn or 2-turn the entire encounter, i have them used the best in slot stuffs instead so they end up borrowing each other gear in those videos.
End game split for OH Monk should be 8 Monk / 4 Thief if you wanted the least micro-management and the most comfy, but 9 Monk and 3 Thief are better damage-wise.
- For once, you can carry stat sticks to futher increases dmg output while still able to do Unarmed attacks with Ki Punch.
Ki Blast also help with not just AoE , but also increases single target:
- The blast damage are applied separately to all targets inside the blast zone.
- It'll be 3d6 * n number of targets affected with Resonating nearby.
- Ki Blast is a free action, so it's a dmg increase regardless even if there is only one target in range.
- Depends on itemization, Ki Blast damage can be increased further.
(unintentional) While carrying stat stick with Finesse property, your Unarmed attacks could proc Sneak Attack too for another 2d6 or 4d6 on Crit.
Bardadin ( 2 Vengeance / 10 Sword )
8 / 16 / 14 / 8 / 12 / 16

• Start as Thief 4 (ASI: Dex +2), then respec at level 5 into Sword Bard 5. This is because not up until level 5, Bard could recharge Bardic Inspiration on Short Rest.
• Moving foward , respec for Sharpshooter feat whenever you have Hag Hair and Graceful Cloth for 20 Dexterity:
- Sword Bard 6 / Thief or Assassin 4 (depends on your playstyle) / Fighter 2
- You can cast Mage Armour on Graceful Cloth to increase it AC
- Otherwise wear Yuan-ti Scale Mail or Armor of Agility for longer fights that you won't be able to clear in the first 1~2 burst rounds.
- You can always go Invis and retreat whenever the fight didn't look good. Either with Invis potion or Invis spell itself from Bard.
• Feats: Sharpshooter, ASI (Dex +2)
• Statboost: Hag Hair (Dex +1) , Mirror of Loss (Dex +2)
Thanks so much for the reply!
- Astarion is great for everything Attack rolls related due to Vampire Bite (+1 to Attack, Saves & Ability checks). At late game, if wanted, he can Ascend for additional 1d10 dmg to weapon & unarmed attacks.
- Karlach with her Infernal Fury buff from using Soul Coin for Barbarian or Monk builds
- Minthara can use a bonus action to buff herself or an ally next weapon attack with additional 2d4+1 Fire dmg, it can be used once per turn without needing any resources.
Although, any companions can work due to Respec, so just pick whoever you prefer travelling with if the above unique abilities doesn't mix well with your comp.
@Zaboo: i'm glad you had fun using them.
Because of this, build guides from me, will be coming probably much later than i'd have liked.
