The game plays so fluidly and the controls feel so good! Lovely music and pixel art and the game is VERY GAY and I love it!

I'm rather dissapointed I didn't like this, but I stopped caring about this game as soon as the first chapter ended.

Inventory management is annoying and I somehow made 40.000G in Spring but I can't spend it because everything needs stone and wood.

Speaking of which, you have to relly on the stones and stump that spawn right next to the field, so it's easy to destroy your crops with a hammer.

As for the relationships? Nobody stood out, so I didn't really care.

The game I played before this was Sakuna of Rice and Ruin, and while you only had a rice field, I was more invested in my crops and the characters that the people in this game.

The first act is so long it's detrimental to the whole game and the whole build up isn't worht it.

See I got my message though without 20 hours of text! Wasn't that easy?

Inspired by Undertale, Mega Man Network and a touch of magical girls, this is actually better than ONE of the games it got its inspiration from.

Mega Man Network, I remember reaching a certain moment in the game that reminded me of the street light puzzle in MMN and... this game is so much better than all MMN combined?

The only downside is that most attack need some input minigame before you attack and many of the are a bit of a hassle, so I just stick to the easier ones.

It's a promising game, but with so many quests not being farming related but dungeon related, it feels more like Rune Factory than Harvest Moon.

This games has some interesting ideas, like befriending animals and using them instead of a tool, like the bird with an axe beak. They also slowly level up to deal with harder resources, which WOULD seems, but the final animals I got very annoying.

You need an animal to fish and an animal to dig, the problem with these last two is that you can't tell what level you need to collect a resource unless you posses them and THEN you can see what level you need to be.

The worst is the wolf, which is likely to be the last one you get... One of the RAREST resources in the island is DIRT AND CLAY!

The game mostly consists in restoring shrines by making the right offerings, which gets more or more complex and more annoying, getting dye is quite annoying because it takes so many steps and once again, it's so hard to find CLAY AND DIRT it slows the game down a lot.

I rebuilt a shrine to the digger wolves, which told me how which was their favorite, some sort of ice fruit I had in storage, but when I got there, they wanted tomatoes, so I had to head back.

The game makes no sense, you get a hoe and a watering can that never break, even though you can craft them, the weapons don't last long and some resources say you can use an ax on them, making me think they removed more tools, to force you to use the animals, which by the way have THREE bars to take care of, hunger, hygiene and "love".

How do you clean them? With a watering can of course! *facepalm*.

I feel like I was close to finishing the game, but once I hit a wall because DIRT AND CLAY was so hard to find I just didn't want to play any more...

I really wish I could like this game and I even love many games people consider janku and even bad games, but this is too much.

The Kung-Fu parody level felt so empty and repetetive, And that's basically the problem with most modern games paying homage to older games is that brevity is key.

The level mentioned before would be more tolerable if it was shorter.

Frankly I do even know if the tiny timepieces are needed for anything, and the jank got one of them out of bounds. You don't get new moves and well, the more you play the more glaring the mistakes the games are.

If you get this game cheap or in a bundle and stop when it stops being fun (which it will) it might not be a waste of money?

But the worst part is the hit boxes and damage system, since you have no i-frames you can get generated and sometimes you can't even tell when you get hit since the character doesn't even say anything when hurt.

It feels like the game tried to copy "Curse of the Dead Gods" homework and didn't understand the assignment.

It even has the healing fountain which you have to pay for.

The rank system doesn't seem worth it since it's just faster to mash buttons.

The rooms gets bigger the futher you are in the level, which just feels cheap.

The upgrade system is not fun, once you unlock all the moves that's about it.

I just before playing this game I played Guacamelee 2 another super tough "vania" game, this game is better is every aspect.

I gave up on collecting everything in the other game because it just wasn't fun anymore, same for the combat, the final area was a slog.

Cookie Cutter was the opposite, I found every single item because the challenge was brutal, but fair, the combat flow is great since you can fight as you please, none of these stupid shields that GM 2 had.

As for the final tower? I kinda wished it had a bit more?

One of the downsides of this of this game was that the special weapons don't seem to matter as much as special moves?

While I did encounter a couple of bugs, I enjoyed the game a lot, the bosses are a challenge until you get the pattern down.

It's a bit of a shame the spells don't really do much, and you end up with too much money and nothing to spend on.

But it's short and simple and enjoyable.
