Early Access Review
Definitely a fun game to play with friends, and there's always ways to get spooked by this game. It's constantly being updated, and it just gets better with each update. Truly a game you can get into for hours and hours, constantly getting better at it, and it's always fun to mess with the ghost and other players!

Normal gameplay is trying to solve puzzles to get through the levels, teaming up with friends and combining your big brains to make it through together.

Speedrun gameplay is ditching your friends entirely and scaling walls for the sole purpose of avoiding nearly every puzzle in the game, and I think jumping on an axe to gain MAXIMUM HEIGHT in one level.

Either way, you can have whatever custom character you want, and ragdolling in this game is some of the most fun I've ever had in any game, so worth the buy, especially with friends.

It's like Borderlands 2, but less 2 and more 3

seriously tho, it's really fun to just hop on and get into. late game, it's really fun to refine your loadout and pop off so hard that you just walk through the big guys. best parts has to be being a prick to your friends when they get downed and instead of helping them up, you just kazotsky kick on them, and saying "hey watch this" then melting a boss seconds after the fight started. it's one of those games you and the Boys™ can always go back to (just watch the frame rates!)

Warhammer: Vermintide 2

A game where you start off trying to find your bearings,
getting used to the character you selected,
beating a dozen missions,
then becoming a massive tank of destruction fueled by feeling drunk with power

or if you're playing as Bardin, you're fueled by raw anger because your team keeps trash talking you about your height and brashness. Either way, a right good ol' time, especially with friends (mostly because you get to screw with each other the whole time, camaraderie means nothing lol).

My friend bought this for me a couple years back, and it's now my new favorite game.

PROS: BL2, despite being the sequel to BL, is completely its own game and anyone new to the series doesn't need to play BL to know what they're doing. The open world not only encourages the player to explore and parkour to seek loot, but it also adds a tremendous amount of missions and objectives for you to complete on several playthroughs of the game, each with a different character with potentially different loadouts. The game is almost entirely about teamwork, meaning friends can join together and take down intimidating foes and work together to build each other's loadouts. Plus, it has a huge voice cast with a bunch of quips and banter that makes the characters become very lovable and with their own distinctive personalities. With many DLCs and six classes to choose from, as well as many customizables, this game can provide many hours of gameplay!

CONS: BL2 is VERY heavily dependent on teamwork, however, since most bosses and missions are extremely difficult to take on solo. It's also heavily dependent on the player's strategy, knowledge of the weapons, gear, and abilities of your loadout and character, it's all very technical in nature. The game is fun and enjoyable for any player for the first 30 levels, but becomes significantly harder after that, with level 50+ becoming near impossible for a casual player to run solo. It can also be excruciatingly time-consuming to build your character(s) and get desirable weapons, so ultimately, this game is very difficult for the casual gamer to really get into. For anyone willing to put in the time and learn the nuances of the game, it can be a really fun experience, especially for groups of friends with the game.

Overall, this game is a very fun experience with many laughs, twists, maps, characters, landscapes, and MANY weapons to choose how you want to play the game. The art design is unique and distinguishable to the series, which is friendly and vibrant for all players. And with BL3 coming out later in the year (April 2020 for us Steam junkies), now is the perfect time to get this game and prepare for the release!
