I love the tower defense genre and was in search of a non-violent one. The concept of tower defense with dices has a lot more potential than what was actually utilized by this game. Unfortunately this game is a no-brainer. Economy puts you to maintain a balance between the four kinds of colors. All four all equally good by hitting numbers, there is no depth in that. Thus, you fill up your slots with as many 1s as possible. Once filled , you combine 1s to 2s and fill up remaining spaces with 1s. This goes until you get some 6s and also, 100% achievements. If you hit on play button multiple times, you get a fast forward which is buggy: numbers are moving after you've done with your level by the counter. Anyway, you can get 100% achievements in about 15 minutes. Too bad, I can imagine a really good tower defense game with dices.

I was buying portal games because I was told these are non-violent. That is not true, the story is creepy. The concept and the game mechanics are fantastic, I admit that. Too bad that I have to bear the stress just to get into the next puzzle.

Note that Portal 2 has custom made levels so it is possible to only play a selection of puzzles in this game without the creepyness.

Charming athmosphere, good puzzles. Dieing is caused by neutral objects and everything is reverseable.

First of all, this is a great board game. Despite I did not played it for many hours, my friends do and all of them love this game. I was undecided because of the theme but now I am leaning towards getting into it some day with the thought that the behaviors these little creatures have should be banished from the human to them, a fictional race.

For some times I am seeking for games which are free from combat, violence, killing, harm and such mind polluting effects. I was unhappy with the fact that most tower defense games are bloody and too realistic. I felt it bad because the genre is great. Finally I found this title which has the level of abstraction to not fall into those categories.

A simple and plain dodging game. There are no unnecessary visual elements, just what is required to stimulate your visual analysis and reflexes. Probably you will not spend tens of hours playing this game, but It surely has a replay value for some casual dodging.

Hexcells is one of the best puzzle video games I ever played. Plain and deep. Great!
