Though not the best Elder Scrolls game of the series, the grand library of mods available for it keeps things interesting (especially for avoiding the default character builds: Stealth Archer, Sneak Archer, Assassin Archer, Quiet Archer, Clandestine Archer, Cloak Archer, Shadow Archer, Archer Sneaky, Archer Assassin, Archer of Lightfoot, Invisiarcher, Romulan Cloaking Archer, etc).

Should be able to play it for decades... or at least until the game industry pulls their collective heads out of their rectal cavities. I can only hope that TES VI goes back to the R of its RPG roots, but until then, I'll keep playing this and the previous games.

Also: No. I am not going to buy Skyrim again... not even for a thermostat.

An "enhanced" edition where they removed LAN play...

Nope.

Where can I get a perpetual demo version?

Demo version worked great. It was fast and had good results.

The current purchased version barely functions at all, and if or when you get results, they are mediocre at best. Incredibly slow loading times, even for simple meshes. Packing speed is even worse... beyond slow. As for viewing the current progress, the "Draw Packing" option is useless or does not work (maybe it's just that slow).

I can’t figure out how a great working demo version back in 2014/2015 begets such a terrible commercial version today. Seems like a scam now. What the hell happened? Patent conflict with NDA? Booze? Aliens? What?

NOTE: If you want to revert to an older steam version that worked better than current:

Very addicting FPSRPG, tons of loot, and fun multiplayer.

Best in the series. A must have for any game library.

Excellent time travel software. Despite not being able to go back, traveling forward works every time!

To transport yourself to the future:
  1. Launch Factorio
  2. Play Factorio
  3. Close Factorio
Step 3 completes the time jump. Congratulations! You have successfully traveled forward in time!

Update: This game is at the constant care of the developers who are an absolute inspiration. They are constantly improving the game and keeping the community in the loop.

Keep up the great work!

Update: With switch release and continued improvements, I have no doubt that the expansion will be excellent!
