a journalist, an alien looking to mate, a succubus, an elf, a half cat half popstar lady, shrek, a bottle of aquafina, 2 ♥♥♥♥♥ and 2 lesbians all walk into a coffee shop. that's it. that's the joke, matter of fact thats the whole game!

(RIP to the main creator and dev of Coffee Talk you've rlly created a captivating story with individuals that evb can see a bit of themselves in. peak visual novel content that is NOT being topped ever)

I could go on and on about how much i love this series but as i've stated before, the story picks up during the great ninja world war, kaguya awakens, obito and madara go on a rampage, naruto and sasuke have their final fight; you know all the good stuff. the story mode is most definitely something that carries this game. a lot of people were dissapointed witht he fact that they took out open world roaming in story and just made it its own seperate game mode but i think the improvement in fight choreography, secret factors, and overall visuals and delivery of the story make up for it enough.

one thing that will continue to get under my skin though is the fact that during QTEs there is no fail animation; the fight will play out the same way even if you dont do the quicktime which is lazy on their part cuz all storm games have QTE fail animations that added a lot more personality to the game.

overall 8/10
Storm 4 does not come close to topping storm 3 when it comes to best game but it certainly is able to stand on its own as a chill anime fighter that should've taken a little bit more time to listen to what their audience wanted but still delivered regardless

i can now say i've lost my mind for 4 hours looking for a chicken for an achievement.

on a more serioius note, Bloody Hell is a bullet hell dungeon crawler that is able to stand out from its peers by sticking to a simple but unique story about a you, killing demons for God. if you're looking for more of a challenge gameplay wise, do not pick up non-mandatory upgrades (they change your weapon properties) and only play with the base weapon you get until after the final boss; it makes it so much more rewarding when you win trust me.

when handling the chicken achievement btw, start from beginning to end, left to right and then up to down when working on the chickens in the abyss. its hard to lose track of where you went for a chicken since the map in this game only indicates respawn points, shops and bosses. i think i can get over the faxt collectibles dont show up on maps since it did feel more rewarding to finally get it to pop but to others that enjoy a lil more support i suggest going into guides and then using the digital map that's there, then mark down what you've collected and havent.

Overall 7/10
its a free small indie title that does most of the right things but is still fun to play at the end of the day

This is how you do filler games properly. simple story that gives you a reason to beat the ♥♥♥♥ out of each other in a new game mode, some new story bits about the anime itself and the introduction of Mecha Naruto in the DLC tournament episode (seperate form the actual tournament arc and will unlock naturally when opening the game). if you're looking to 100% this game i urge you to learn combo mechanics so its much easier to breeze through. those things include.

- Combo cancels w items/ninja tools
- Chakra dash combo cancels
-ultimate jutsu combo cancels
- countering, blocking, substitution management
a lot more but there are community guides and youtube vids that go further into depth about those things if you're rlly that invested.

If you're going to buy the storm series it is better you get legacy which inlcudes (storm 1, 2, 3 i think revolution and 4) because stgotrm connections is not worth it unless you want to play online. i feel like each game after storm 3 tried to replicate the magic it had but to no avail. from the stand point of gameplay, mechanics, story, exploration and collectibles, storm 3 genuinely takes the cake for being a refreshing and fun way to get into naruto or enjoy a laid back anime fighter

a note that steam's classification for 100% of this game does not match with the in-game true 100%. your mission completion will be around the 90s percentile and you'll have 30-50% of each collectible thats recorded towards completion. so if you want to go above and beyond and techically 200% the game go for it!!

The ultimate ninja storm series is truly a diamond in the rough when it comes to anime fighting games. the first game is beaming with personality and passion that gets passed down in the trilogy of storm games (kinda hit a rough patch when storm 4 came out).
gameplay mechanics are difficult to pick up at first but easier to hone once you've gotten the hang of it. its also suggested to adjust the resolution and framerate if you feel like you move painfully slow in adventure mode.

other than certain bugs when it comes to combat achievements (needed to do 2 player versus to get them to pop), STORM 1 is definitely worth your time if you're an enjoyer of anime fighters, wanna get into the naruto series or if you're a completionist such as myself >:D

if you're gonna play this game right after getting off Burst:Renewal or Shinovi versus, be warned the combat is a little slower than those games. defense mechanics and parryign si encouraged a lot more even though you barely can find windows to parry because of the overwhelming amount of attacks thrown at you. better to play smart and punish aggresive moves than block because enemy shinobi WILL spam the ♥♥♥♥ out of their special moves if given the meter and oppotunity.

to 100% this game is as more of a chore because of tedious grinding specific stage interactions you get when finishing a shinobi off with a special move near the interactive area on the map and they're scattered in all 98 missions. by the time you're done base game you should have a fair amount so just note down which ones you DO have and find an achievement guide (refer to this game's community) to see which ones you have left.

you eventually get used to the combat even if jarring at times but overall estival versus still holds up as an iconic part of the SK series that put the entire franchise into the spotlight of populairty during its time of release. summer, fun, fanservice, with a ♥♥♥♥ load of hack n slash so i gotta 10s where they're due

ever been so behind on rent and your boss decides to force evb at your job to do unpaid overtime and thats even worse for you cuz you turn into a murderous werewolf at night and your fav coworker happens to be a security guard with a shotgun? short simple story made rlly witty and fun with even more fun gameplay mechanichs that encourage you to clean with stealth if you rlly want to grab that 100%

gameplay is pretty jarring because you're encouraged to play offensively AND defensively but the defensive mechanics they give you never rlly work so you're better off just slashing like a madman. completing it is only rlly a chore because of grindy achievements but still worth it

Really REALLY fun game to play and 100%. it strays from being repetitive thanks to two unique characters you unlock after base game (with different mechanics from the protagonist). art style and aesthetic is nostalgiac and beautiful; gameplay is pretty good, a fast paced 3D platformer with collectibles. A little tip for smoother controls because its a little harder to play with the default settings:

- Smooth Turning OFF (when this is on it you cant make sharp turns so when you wanna turn around fast you kinda do an awkward glide which slows you down or kills you
- Shadow ON (this helps with precision and landing)
- Horizontal camera speed 150-200% (if you're using a controller and having to move to camera around constantly while platforming it helps to have the sensitivity higher so you dont have to stop and turn your camera. just keep dashin through!

you can write Lunistice off as a "sonic clone" but it at least is unique enough to stand on its own 2 feet with its unique roster of characters, beautiful artstyle and interesting lore. definitely a game worth your time.
