Dungeon is very dark. Also it looks pretty good in 3D, and you don't have to plan 3 runs ahead anymore.

This game is one of the few games I have played that feels like it actually earned the "story rich" tag. It has incredibly simple combat, and an innately repetitive gameplay loop, going about doing something you've done dozens of times already to find one or two different details. But there are so many QoL features in this game that it doesn't feel nearly as repetitive as describing it would imply, and the little one or two details you get are worth it EVERY time.

It also has a fantastically written ending, which is something I feel a lot of games like this tend to lack, complemented by incredible visuals. Though, I would never say the visuals of the game slouched at any point.

Overall, a magnificent game. If you are looking for a game with intense character growth, a party that actually talks to eachother often(looking at you BG3), or just wanna stare at an incredibly charming visual style, I would HEAVILY consider picking this game up.

You can play against a lvl one or the best player in the game if you queue casual. Pretty fun, wish the devs gave a damn about it.

You run an scp facility. It has all of the upsides and downsides of running an scp facility.

Bear in mind, this review is coming from the perspective of a Sylas main, so this game basically had to butcher the personality of the characters in order to lose me. That being said, this game is very fun. The game feels well paced story wise, as I never felt like I needed to take a break or was "grinding".

THE COMBAT
I played this game on the hard difficulty. The gameplay reminded me a lot of HADES, but with less customization, not a roguelike, and the unique twist of stealing magic. It's very fast, with enough mobility that I could totally see somebody beating this game with no damage taken. That being said, the game is very aware of this, and often forces you to use your mobility to survive attacks, either from grappling to far away enemies/landmarks, or spam dashing to escape a chasing projectile.
I said there was less customization compared to HADES, but really, it's just different. You aren't in a roguelike, so your loadout is exactly what you make it. You can customize up to four spells you have equipped at all times, varying from AOE damage, healing, simple projectiles, or even utility such as invisibility. About mid-way you also get an empowered state, which comes with your choice of an ultimate. There are 6 ultimates, and each of them have atleast SOME advantage over the others. I only ever used 4, but I do feel the other 2 had their purpose, and someone else would probably find a use for them. You can also spend your currency on base increases to defense, health, physical damage, and magic damage, so there is some variance you can put on your playstyle, though I would be surprised if anyone focused on physical damage, given the game's nature.
The enemies varied from interesting to mildly annoying. There is one enemy that you have to bring to the ground just to hit them, and with my upgrades at the time I had to do this twice in order to bring one down, leading to me just never targeting them first and accepting the damage they cause. There's also a couple of enemies that have weird damage hitboxes, and I still don't know how one of them works. With all of that out of the way, the rest of the enemies were generally intriguing. A lot of the enemies had attack variants that were fun to interact with, such as the early game wind mages buffing allies, and using their magic to kill their allies was just beyond satisfying.

THE STORY
Avoiding spoilers, the story was good. None of the league characters were butchered or ruined really, and a lot of them were actually made much better in my eyes. The original characters were also mostly delightful, with only a couple that I didn't like, but they weren't overbearing by any means, so it wasn't a problem.
The story also didn't feel meaningless, as, despite being at a previous point in the Runeterra universe compared to now, it added a lot of lore, and one of the revelations was very exciting to me. It does make the warriors cinematic/freljordian raid on demacia feel a little confusing, but it's not like they made it impossible, and I wouldn't be surprised if it made more sense to somebody who is more of a lore buff than I.

THE ART
This game's artwork is phenomenal. I don't think I've seen this beautiful of pixel art in a game PERIOD. Every spell looks cool as hell, and the game's contrasting colors meant that I almost always could tell what was going on in a fight, with the exception of maybe one enemy. The sound design was also impressive, even if they re-used a lot of sounds from league. I am very picky with sound design, and have often left games just because of it being badly done, but this game knocked it out of the park.

CONCLUSION
Overall, I'd give this game a 9/10 for anyone who is interested in Sylas/playing Sylas as a character, a 8/10 for anyone interested in the league universe, and a 6/10 for anyone who just wants an action RPG. The game's biggest drawback is it's length vs price, but I don't regret my money spent whatsoever, since I was enjoying every minute of it. That being said, if you aren't interested in the league universe, and just want it as a beautiful action rpg, then I'd wait for a sale, maybe 30% off or so.

Before reading this review, this is coming from somebody with 400 hours on xbox, along with however many I currently have on steam.

This game demonstrates progression through skill and strength increases. Yes, you get stronger by getting new items, but the main way that you get stronger is through getting better at the game. The best example of this is the tutorial boss fight, Iudex Gundyr. The first time you fight him, you might get by by the skin of your teeth, or take countless tries to beat him. Regardless, its a difficult experience. However, after playing through the game the first time, you make a new character and fight Gundyr again, and you dont get hit a single time. That realization at how much better you've gotten over just playing the game gives it this unruly satisfaction. With many things in life, practice is not nearly as fun as the action: nobody actually likes going to soccer practice, they like kicking ass on the field. In dark souls 3, the practice is the field. There's no fighting game inputs, nothing you have to memorize and no 30 minute tutorials you need to watch. If you struggle with a boss, fight it again. If you keep struggling, keep trying or rearrange your build. Eventually, you will overcome the obstacle, and the feeling afterwords will be nothing but ecstasy. Overall, I could recommend this game to anyone who wants a challenge that forces them to improve, but in a fair way. Unlike what people say about this series, this title at least is a fair, albeit difficult hurdle, with plenty of content to entertain for hours.

I put this review as positive, but tbh I would put it as mixed if I could. Warframe is a grinding third person looter shooter, with different planets to go to and a large amount of customization. I would compare it to destiny, but it honestly feels so different from it that I can't really put the two on level ground in good consciousness. The game has guns, but abilities and melee weapons have a much larger presence, so it plays closer to ror2 then destiny most of the time.

The objective of the game is.... weird. There are quite a few things to do, but everything feels pretty aimless. You can grind out the story, which, while I wasn't a fan of, isn't bad, and can certainly be enjoyed by the right person. You can try to beat every mission, which is what I did, but you'll burn out after 80 hours or so. You can collect weapons, and warframes, which are essentially classes, but after you get the maybe 5 your interested in that will feel pretty aimless too. The biggest problem that I had with this game is a hilarious lack of endgame content of any sort. Theres no raids, no high level pvp, no dungeons or hard boss fights. You sort of just... grind.

The combat is what kept me playing this game. This is the embodiment of a high tech power fantasy if I've ever seen it. Mobility is through the ceiling, and it always feels like your a keter rank scp running through the halls of any ship you board. This is the perfect game to listen to high beat music in the background while chilling after a work shift. The melee combat is pretty standard, but with more depth than some games, with weapon combos varying from as basic as mashing E to ♥♥♥♥ that looks straight out of an actual fighting game, depending on your weapon stance.

In all honesty, there are two ways it feels like you can play this game: play through it once and enjoy a free experience with a decent amount of gratification, or collect. Theres dozens of primary, secondary, and melee weapons, along with 40 or so warframes, meaning that if you just want content you won't get bored for a while. Overall, a solid way to spend my free time for a few weeks, but ultimately lacking the endgame content, challenge, or really aim to keep me hooked on a game.

This is like stubbing your toe for 2.5 hours straight and your reward is lost progress.

Terraria is one of those games where the more you play it, the more you want to play it. Mod it, go vanilla, this game is fun as frunck.
