I've not played much of this version (maybe about 30 minutes or so) but it looks like this is a good remaster.

I was hesitant at first because there are quite a few negative reviews but as others have suggested I think these are from an earlier time from the games release as I've suffered no problems running the enhanced edition (which looks lovely).

This game is based in the same world as the original Blade Runner movie and for it's time was incredibly ambitious; there are multiple endings and randomly selected characters who are (or are not) replicants themselves.

While I would hate for someone to read this summery of mine and go on to purchase it and regret it I think I feel quite confident and happy recommending this to someone who might have played the original many years ago.

For what it's worth I'm running this on Manjaro Linux without issue. My utmost respect and thanks to the team who got this on Steam, I'm looking forward to replaying a childhood favourite :)

Great point and click, wonderful story with great voice acting. The customer service is the only thing that trumps it!

With practise you'll be able to remove the starting cube.

Kidding aside, this is a very powerful bit of software, once you start to get the basics of navigation and editing down if you have a slight bit of creativity in you you'll really enjoy tinkering and fiddling about with everything Blender has to offer you.

It's not really all that fun. I was hoping for something like Bedlam (the 1996 video game) but found myself a little disappointed with it.

There is little to no gore which sounds silly but when I'm crushing people or blowing them to bits with lasers I want blood!
The campaign feels kinda limited and dull. You're given 3 people / vehicles to play on the missions; a tanky one, a light/offensive one which is nippy but weak and a sorta 'middle' between the two (although you can use all of them on the same mission).
The weapons you cannot change (or, if you can I haven't unlocked that yet and I'm easily 10 missions in).

The missions all feel so 'samey'. Spawn, blow up a building or something and leave. That is literally -every- mission I've played on this game. It's repetitive and dull. The building blow up and demolish in a very scripted way, once you've blown a building up once or twice you know exactly what it's going to look like the third time you attack a similar building.
As mentioned there is little / no gore (and I mention this because in the 1996 Bedlam game when you shot or crushed a human there were blood streaks for days!) on this people just puff into a red mist and then any and all trace of their existence vanishes (zzzz).

There is a "freelance" mode (might be named different, I forget) but the idea behind that is you pick your own character, vehicle, weapons etc etc from money you've earned either with missions from the main game or money you've earned in the freelance section. Everything seems pretty fairly priced (although some of the characters / vehicles are very expensive and feels to me only to make you grind for it, which I wouldn't mind at all if the game wasn't so dull).

Maybe I'm just fussy. I did enjoy this game and enjoyed playing it for the 5 or 6 hours that I have but it's just become another game I'm unlikely to play much more of because it's just not keeping me excited or entertained.

I don't regret buying it, but I'm very glad I got it on sale.

this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ evil.

The brightness slider in the game doesn't work (and upon checking Google has been an issue since release - still not fixed) but worse, occasionally when I hack something (or attempt to) the game will lockup.

I'm playing this with 200+ FPS with no other graphical issues, so I really cannot understand why hacking something causes my game to lock-up so often but it's happened enough that I can't be bothered to play the game anymore.


Nice 'remaster' all around.

A very fun game, took me about 35 hours to finish which is great, I'm actually a little sad I've finished it now.

I felt at times (especially towards the end) either I was playing it wrong or the game was built wrong - often I'd pick up weapons and stuff which were multiple levels higher then any of my characters were and by the time I finished the game was still nowhere near being able to use them. I'd like to add I didn't skimp away from battles or try and take shortcuts, I killed and explored as much as I could - oddly enough my starting character ended up being the weakest.

There are a few bugs in the game too, sometimes it's crashed with an "unhandled expectation" or something but that's admittedly only happened about 5 or 6 times through the entire play - the most annoying of the bugs are sometimes you can't equip the weapons even if your characters are at/above the skill required for it, another annoying bug is the "summon helper" nature spell - don't use it. In theory it's a great idea; it's a little dude you summon who loots the battlefield for you and you can click on him and it'll drop what he's picked up in money.. only problem is 9 times out of 10 when you unsummon it you get nothing... all the loot he's picked up vanishes with him, the list goes on but these are two that stick out in my mind, Oh! And the final cutscene is missing?? You spend about 30+ hours fighting your way through forests, caves, goblin workshops, frozen tundras and the countryside all for a big "nothing" ending, you kill the guy, he spawns a shiţload of loot you'll never be able to use (great) and the game jumps right back to the main menu lol.

I wil say this; save often.

I'm not talking about once every half hour, I'm talking every few minutes - a crash or a wipe of the party can and will send you back HOURS if you haven't saved, be warned.


All in all, as much as I've moaned I think this is a great game - flaws included. As Ross said; it's squad-based Diablo.

I purchased this for 68p and have almost as many hours as pennies it cost me, so I cannot recommend this game enough.

I got this for free and for that I can say thank-you and it is a fun game but you'll likely be playing with BOTs because finding a match took a long time for me.

Great Hitman game from the 00's

NPC AI is a little laughable sometimes (both in and against your favour) but over all a dope game.

Nostalgia is the only reason I can recommend this game.

If you didn't play it when you were younger don't buy it.
