This isn't your ordinary CoD or BF, this is an adventure. Explore the underwater city of Rapture, a once beautiful landscape. Use a variety of special powers called plasmids. This game has it all.
--- Pros ---
interesting/fun gameplay
great graphics
great plot

--- Cons ---
Few bugs/glitches
minor sound concern
Compared to present games (2014) might not be the best (this game was released in 2007).

---Gameplay---
Bioshock allows you many ways to kill: plasmids, weapons, or both. As you progress in the game, you decide if you want to play stealthy (avoid cameras and turrets, secretly walk past enemies) or just go full berserk and kill whatever you fine. The game also has a variety of fun plasmids that let you choose your own way of killing, protection, or just some fun. The weapons, dang. The the game doesn't have like the same ammount of weapons as borderlands, quite a few actually, but they all have a different style and heck, you might prefer burning people, or just beating them up with a wrench, or maybe the classive "inserting bullets" with the submachine gun. You might hit a few glitches here and there, but hey, not everything can be perfect right?

The whole game revolves around completing missions one by one in an order til you get to the end. There are some fun missions like escort, or taking some pictures, but lots of them are just collect items/get to a checkpoint, then rinse and repeat. You actually won't get bored since the plot is very interesting but this is a 1 way game. No different missions because of your choices or anything like that. So don't expect freedom such as free-roam... because well... your trapped in an underwater city full of physcos.

---Plot---
This is what I think keeps the game going. Like mention earlier, you play as Jack, who survived a plane crash but soon trapped in an underwater city of Rapture. Most of the civilians turned crazy because of the use of plasmids, they are called splicers. You meet a friend name Atlas, who guides you through to escape. Along the way, you will meet interesting characters, allies or foes. In the game, there lies a plot twist. It's actually a big deal, not only does it get you thinking, it also affects your gameplay in an interesting... but annoying way. If you're looking for a good story, this is it.

The plot can be very confusing and hard to pick up until about the early-middle of the game or unless you are willingly happy to search around for diaries where you can pick up more info. But just hang it there, your about to be in for a heck of a ride.

---Graphics, sounds, and that other stuff---
Graphics are AMAZING especially for a game released about ~7 years ago, it'll problaby be on par with the games in 2011-2012, which is darn good for a game released in 2007. The sounds were great, blah blah blah. One big concern was that during radio messages (how you pick up your new missions, etc) and diaries (extra info that can be obtained) which is voiced btw, can be VERY hard to hear with the background noises, footsteps, water movement, gunshots, just VERY hard to hear unless you turn dat volume up so high, even the ceiling can't hold it, then yeah. If this is a concern for you, fear not, just re-read the message in your journal instead of listening to it. This game was surprising playable on a very crappy laptop I used on it, but I had to turn graphics to the lowest, which wasn't really that bad.

The game is not really the happiest, bright, sunshine-girl type game. There might be some blood.. gore... or someone being drilled... but eh.... you get used to it. You also might get in some jumpscares that'll get you spamming the guns to kill it... I won't tell you what they are.

---VERDICT---
So obliviously this game isn't the BEST game in the market right now, I mean if you want, just go play Bioshock Infinitie. But ifi you want the classic, original story, just go with this. You'll have an interestingly fun gameplay while you progress through the story exploring rapture. There are some glitches, and if you happen to dislike the plot in anyway, you might have trouble sticking through the whole game. But that problably won't happen. Yes this game was a great game compared to when it was released, 2007. Now in 2014, there are other, greater, games that problably might even beat this game in everyway. But if you could imagine what games were like in 2007, you'll be surprised by this game.
