Pretty cool if you don't expect much

I had this in my library since 2016 or 2017, probably from some bundle.
Today i finally played because i had some free time and i was really bored and not knowing what else to play (you know these days..)
It's decent, cool "time-waster" that i didn't regret playing, it was quite relaxing and pleasant.

PRO:
- I enjoy the graphics, reminds me of some early-2000s shmup that i can't quite recall yet
- The difficulty is balanced
- There are enough gameplay elements to not be very repetitive and boring

CON:
- It could've used a bit more polishing, like, for example, enemy ships can go straight to the top or the bottom of the screen but you can't
- Perhaps subjective, but i don't think it has much replay value. I enjoyed playing and finishing it, but i don't think in two years from now i will say "Oh, i feel like i should replay Duke of Alpha Centauri"

If you get it on a bundle, or on a big sale i think you can enjoy it if you're not too picky and don't expect something amazing.

Devs shut down the online servers, so now we have broken achievements. They don't want to remove them either. The game also wasn't abandoned, it seems the publisher still likes getting that sweet cash from bundles and deals.

They're so lazy they won't click few times in the Steamworks Dashboard to turn off the online achievements.

Interesting little piece, but pretty oveprriced

First of, i haven't used the software for 200+ hours as Steam implies. I have the bad habit of leaving software open, and i almost never turn my PC off so, hours piled up.

PRO:
- Quick way to prototype/sketch a rhythm/beat
- You can use your own samples
- You can export to midi, and you can even drag and drop to your DAW
- I would say it really would work well if you're making rap/hip-hop beats, but i can't vouch for that, it's just my impression.

CON:
- Very counter intuitive
- Works somewhat poorly, i blame it on the fact that most (if not all) its components are made in java (if you're wondering, Java in this kind of "setting" is just as bad as it was in 2007"
- I ran into many issues when i tried to use it as a VST in Ableton 11 Live, Fruity Loops, Mixcraft, Sonar, and when it finally started working i realized it's very poorly integrated, so i just used it separately.
- Randomizer is quite bad and pointless. You'd imagine the arrangements would have some sort of logic, but they don't.

Concept is interesting, it's a good tool to have in your digital shed, can save you a lot of time.
Personally, i got it for a month because i wasn't sure if it was as good as it was advertised.
Due to issues i mentioned above, including it in my workflow is like carrying a bike on the train just so i can get to a place where i can ride it.

Keep in mind, this is not a music making software (some reviewers were.. ehm.. angry). It's purely a beat and rhythm designer. You could technically make a full song with it, but.. why?

Final words, it's a cute tool, but it isn't worth the price tag. If it will drop to a more fair price i will consider buying it.
I do advise you to try it though, maybe you will be able to include it in your workflow better than i could. And luckily, you can buy a 1 month subscription and try it instead of just throwing a stack of cash at it.

Pew, pew, pew

I will start off by saying this is a hidden gem. It's that kind of game that is awesome, but not very well known because it was made by a very small studio (or even solo developer) that doesn't afford advertising or whatever
While it was bundled, it still is pretty well kept away from the general public.

Anyhow, back to the actual game, it's awesome.
It's some sort of a shoot em up, but kind-of linear, while the last part might not encourage you to play it, trust me, it's better than it sounds.
Music is nice, art is simple and cute, it was overall a joy to play it.

PRO:
- Low cost game that will bring you 3+ hours of fun
- Different strategies and approaches
- Challenging enough to keep you entertained, but not hard to make you ragequit and uninstall it forever
- Really easy to learn and understand its mechanics, the enemies
- There's a "Quake" power-up that turns you into a beast. QUAKE! HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE IT
- If you care about achievements, well, to get 100% in this game you just have to play from start to finish

CON:
- Doesn't have that much replayability because of the more-linear style. I mean sure, you can always start a new save, but i guess the game itself won't differ much
- I am playing with a gamepad, and at some point i added a second player by mistake (I guess i pressed some key on a keyboard), but then i couldn't figure out how to remove the second player, maybe via numpad, which i do not have, well, having a second player that you can't move isn't a very good thing
- There's no saves in between levels/worlds, like, if you are at Level 4-8 and you quit, you will be brought to 4-1. However, it's not really that bad, levels are very very short and you'll get back to the place you left in no time

All-in-all, awesome little game that will bring you at least 2-3 hours of fun, with a difficulty that is very well balanced.
I also really loved how the credits screen was presented. Very beautiful!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarggghhhhh!

So, this is not a fully fledged game, rather a very small bonus addition to the series, and a mobile port at that.
It's a runner game where you have to dodge/kick bombs and obstacles, and your purpose is to kill sam.

If you ever wondered what's going on through Sam's enemies heads (or, well, the lack of), this is your chance.

It's short, it's not very difficult (even if you *sometimes* have the reflexes and reaction time of a semi-mashed potato) you can finish it without many issues.

I like the hand-drawn art, the game didn't have any bugs, and overall smooth and enjoyable.

Knowing what this game was beforehand, i must say, it's exactly what i expected, and had a lot of fun and i enjoyed it.

I would've loved some basic mod support (such as just having the player models/levels out in the open).

I loved this game, however the devs are lazy cucks that don't want to remove the online achievements (servers were taken down, so the achievements are broken).

Cute art style, good gameplay, fun times

I initially played this few years ago, got stuck at some level, then other life stuff came in between and just abandoned it.
Recently i came back to it, and it didn't start off well. Apparently, there's no Steam Cloud for it which is a bummer.
So, before playing it, keep it in mind that once you install it, you should do all you have in mind (either finish it, or do the achievements or whatever), or just make a manual back-up save.

The game is simplistic in nature, you have some power-ups, you have some special abilities, you can upgrade both power-ups and abilities, and your stats with the coins you get in the game.
There's nothing too complicated, you don't need to invest much energy or thought into it, just roll with it.

Fighting is pretty cool and straight forward, it didn't feel clunky or unnatural. Granted, i am playing with a gamepad, i am not sure how the game works on a keyboard (i advise you to check the Steam forums).
I enjoyed it very much, but here's a tip, you should do a bit of grinding before progressing, so you can do some upgrades. It will make things less annoying.

I have nothing to object against this little game. It's very well done, fun, it's all i expected when i bought it, minus the lack of cloud saving.
I don't think there is much to regret if you get it on a sale.

It's one of these cute little games that i hope one day to see a sequel of.

Happy kitty, sleepy kitty, purr, purr, purr

It's a lovely game that i enjoyed playing. It has enough content for the money i paid.
I enjoyed my time with it, and it's just what i need these days as i am feeling low/lazy/not in the mood for anything that takes too much effort.

However, keep in mind, camera controls are pretty horrible overall. You do get used to them at some point, but even when you do, they're still weird.
As much as i hated the camera controls, i still enjoyed the game.

Another thing i wasn't a fan of, the progress is saved within levels/isles, however, if you exit and come back, boxes and windows are closed for example. For this reason i have such a long playtime in the game. I haven't turned it off when i took breaks/went to sleep.

Overall - I recommend it, it's cute and chill. I wouldn't say it's very easy, especially if you have issues with your eyes, but then again, if it was too easy it would've got boring.

Trippy, addictive and challenging

I will start by saying, i haven't finished the game yet. Due to some neurological issues i have a tough time doing certain things, especially at a fast pace.
So far i only reached level 4/11.

The game is very trippy, uncanny and fun. It's pretty addictive because, few minutes after you close it, you feel that itch to start it again for "just one more round".

This game was gifted to me by a friend and it was a spot-on gift. It has pretty much all the elements i love to see in games.

It's a game simple enough to understand, that mostly all fans of arcade genre will enjoy.
And as with any other similar game, you will die a lot in the beginning until you get a bit used to it.

I only wish it had some sort of permanent upgrade system in place or some accessibility options.

So, load yourself up with some patience and go on a trippy murder spree, so unique you will never forget.
