Just give it more time to cook, the concepts are there, the water thing is really NBD, one day of playing gives you a month of not, and if you can't be bothered to play one day, it's no biggie starting over.

THE FUTURE OF RTS, SOCIAL FOCUSED - wait? what? They focused on the 1v1 mode and are making balance changes based around it? You can't use their "lower the skill floor" tools like buddybot in 1v1 either? There's no promised 3v3? The coop is a leftover crumb from their 1v1 efforts and brings your game to a crawl at high unit counts? There's no map editor, no social stuff, no chat, you're supposed to just use discord? The campaign is midder than mid with a rushed and dull story? No achievements or things to work for? $10 DLC day one for even people who backed $300 on Kickstarter? The art style looks 5 times worse than their pre-alpha in engine demo two years ago?

♥♥♥♥, well, another 1v1 focused undercooked rts to the pile I guess, have fun everyone.

Yer a Wizard '{username}!

Game slaps, as someone who hasn't experienced the Harry Potter universe before this game, it's a wondrous world and well depicted here, I'm constantly excited to keep exploring.

Lots of open world games have too much breadth and not enough depth, and while this isn't a record breaker, it's got enough depth in enough places to be satisfying.

Negatives include:
Twitch drops, exclusive content for console, some performance issues.

I don't review games often, but this was a spectacular experience I want to everyone to share in.

Absolutely gorgeous soundtrack and artwork, with a story that will both bring you together and tear you apart.

If I had to give a single recommendation, it's to play this game in multiple sittings, don't burn through it, savor it.

The first 60 minutes of this game, I was genuinely excited.

But I didn't make it through the next 60 minutes because once the awesomeness of the graphics, story, mechs and environment wore off, I barely made it out with a refund. There is some absolutely abysmal AI here. Lots of people seem to reference Company of Heroes, but that game managed to have much better AI for being over a decade older.

I played on the hardest difficulty available to me at the start, and while some scripted fights where enemies were placed in specific positions and I had to attack them felt alright - any time the enemy had to actually think about how to fight me, it was "Charge forward and attack", rarely using cover, or any of their advantages, enemies would just charge into my units, get shot, stand in the open next to them, while getting shot, or just run past them losing most of their health.

The worst of this was in a wave defense mission early on in the campaign, the AI prioritized my engineers to the point where they walked multiple mechs and units past all my soldiers and weapons, not attacking but just chasing after a single squad of engineers holding pistols while they were mowed down.

There's a lot of annoyances with your own AI units, such as guns with a stationary arc not automatically moving to keep a targetted enemy in their cone, among other unfun micro techniques. Micro in an RTS game should be about getting a leg up on your opponent, not a necessity to prevent your units from being braindead, it's a war and you have to change the diapers on every soldier in your army.

Everything else about this game is pretty exceptional, from the graphics to the authentic voice overs to the sound design and unit design. But the AI is so bad this would have been better off a movie.

One of the most exciting, addicting, and fun concepts for a multiplayer game to ever exist.
