I'd be willing to forgive hollow knight fans for being annoying about silksong if it ends up having even a fraction of the sauce pseudoregalia has.

pseudoregalia is so good and there's so much I want to say about that I'm genuinely unsure how to properly formulate or structure a review for it. it's probably the most any game in the metroidvania subgenre has tried to innovate since metroid prime AND I now understand how people in the 90s felt seeing lara croft's polygons. almost complete non-linearity in a 3d platformer like this seriously hasn't been done before, at least from what I know, and I've never played any kind of search-action game that just feels so liberating to play. the amount of tech on offer here even puts the most popular speedgames to shame, and I made the most of it to get as much stuff out of (likely) intended sequence as possible. There's very little story and getting the full picture requires reading optional books in the library but what's there is beautiful and is tackled far more elegantly than a certain other indie game that I can't directly mention since that would mean spoiling this one. I beat this in (almost) a single sitting - play this game.
