Whilst the original Trapped Dead was a huge disappointment, this (sequel? remake? reimagining?) is made by a different studio. Thoughts of the original game colored my impression of this for quite a while, however about 8 levels in I realised I was really enjoying myself and found it hard to put down. Sure it's got some flaws: the movie compression is ugly, the voice acting is terrible (and I hardly ever think that even when everyone else goes), the storyline is incomplete and meandering and references events and details which were never previously discussed, NPCs are completely unrealistic, but you don't come to this game for the story. The action is fun and that's what counts. Gameplay wise, I don't think I'd play this multiple times to unlock all the achievements with multiple classes, and there's probably too much inventory juggling, but apart from that it's a good blast. Don't expect some wonderful polished experience like Shadowgrounds, this is not that good, but it's not garbage like the first Trapped Dead either. Pick this up on sale and it's a good buy.

A pixel-art puzzle platformer where the mechanics are double-jump and teleport. The aim is to collect all the keys then exit the door. You'll be avoiding spikes, and wandering enemies which you can jump on Mario-style. I knocked over the first 40 levels in 77 minutes, so this isn't a very long game. The author says he is working on a new chapter. I probably wouldn't pay full price for this, but I got it in an indie bundle, for which it is perfect. Looking forward to the new levels.

Clever top-down puzzle game, nice 3D graphics, keyboard-only controls. Co-published by Frozenbyte who made Trine and Shadowgrounds. If you liked CLARC you'll like this.

Peaceful first person walking game shown from the perspective of someone alone on a space station, unable to trust their own mind and surroundings. Still in beta, but getting more content as time goes on. An enjoyable adventure which evokes strong emotions through its minimalist writing and environment.

Frustrating puzzles, bad voice acting, feels more like Half Life than Portal.

A Lovecraft-inspired first person roguelike-like. Attractive crisp simple 3D graphics and spooky eldritch mood. This is a unique and fun little game. It plays like Delver, or like a simpler FPS/RPG. Not sure I'd pay 15 bucks, but definitely pick it up on sale.

Imagine if Ultima Underworld was a cutesy roguelike. That's this game. I own this on both Steam and Android and I love it!

Absolutely fantastic. A mix of Metroidvania platformer, with the replayability of a great roguelike, the nutty humor of Dungeons of Dredmor, and the difficulty of a classic NES arcade game. The progression system is very well made - even though you constantly die, your next character inherits your wealth so you can level up your skills and items before entering the dungeon again. It's really well balanced and keeps the gameplay fresh and exciting. I cannot recommend this game enough.

It only took me a few levels to realise, but this is actually a really well-done Gauntlet clone. The secret level is even done in Gauntlet-style graphics!

Really fun hack & slash action. The amount of loot is huge and sometimes you chew through screens of enemies it's hilariously intense and exciting.

Moves fast enough to be varied but lets you explore and rewards you for doing so. A well balanced and just downright fun game.

If you like classic arcade games, and especially if you liked Gauntlet, get this.

My only gripe is that it really needs a rapid fire controller. It would be nice if they just made the attack button rapid fire to start with.
