Where to start... I think Stalcraft is gorgeous. It has a lot on offer. You can dive right in and spend some time on the game. But that's where things get icky. The game gets addicting fast. You wonder what is going on... then you realize the game is designed around this retention. It disrespects your time and just wants you to clock in. It is disingenuous and I kinda feel cheated out of my nostalgia.

Sigh. I want to like this game, but can't. While it is vast maybe even epic, there is a kind of a quantity over quality situation here. The game really shines at presenting space stations and starships, but lacks at how it presents planets. I would not recommend Starfield as it can be a bit of a drag to play.

I have some words for you to read. Am an adoring fan and played it a lot.

It is an rpg that plays like a nylon string guitar! Everything sounds good. You don’t really die in this game for no reason. It is a soft yoghurt smoothy with strawberries.

It is very lovely and difficult to explain. It wants to be classic. But it does some things differently and almost when you believe it has rpg melancholia in its roots, you realize there isn’t…really any. It didn’t imitate. This makes it look absolutely feverish at times.

But the level design is sobering, and I can ignore all its story and rpg hurdles and keep coming back for this experience.

Blah so it’s a tight flawless game whose weakness is it’s flawless ness. The amount of polish and perfection this has received will give you a peaceful buzz when you play, but, but it also submerges you with a quench for chaos.

This game has no random. It doesn’t do bad things or good things. It has a linear curve of unlocking things and the caves all have their own oxygen flora so you can stick around and get everything.

But regardless of this smoothy of pace and it’s perfect unlock economy, it begs for more obscure less nintendoish vibes so we can cheat and get to understand and do obscure things that aren’t explained by a pda.

Tries to establish depth but woozily flings fish at you and easy to understand large vs small things. If this game was a fastfood it would be a mcdonald.

Very cool fps with a indie vibe, with a lot of its beauty sitting in the menus and feverishly metaphysical writing. Everything tries to wow you and succeeds, to show you the next corridor where it just comes down to shooting, but it wants to explain to you that it’s nondescript noir cyber blend is somehow not just a romantic mapping binge with cool action, and it is in fact a masterpiece.

Um ok so unless you like zombies

This game needs tooltips.

It's a uh.. pretty nice little game. You'll get angry at the other players for not playing as stealthly as you, or not playing as immersive as you. Keep the graphic sliders high and play OVERKILL difficulty.

The crude style isn't too bad if it wasn't for the jpeg-like-artifacts feeling of it, that absolutely smothers it in f$#@. You will need eye bleach after playing.

--- HOWEVER ---

But it's a work of love. There's love involved. You will love the game. You will love each of the characters, no matter how they sit there and tell you nothing useful.

I enjoyed playing it.
