I loved this game in the past. I was playing it when Fidel Castro died. There's a handful of people upset over nothing. Sam and Max voice actors change from time to time. Case in point: the TV show!
If you've never played before and you like point and click adventures, this is a classic. If you have played Sam and Max before, you'll love how well they updated it.

I love this game. It's a great noire-themed puzzle game. It's soundtrack is one of the best out there. It's too short in my opinion, but I've played through it maybe four times and still love it to death.

Stellaris is probably the best sci-fi game on Steam right now. I enjoy it and have countless hours in it. If you know anything about Paradox Games, you'll be able to learn this quickly. Otherwise it's got a very steep learning curve, but I've personally taught two friends how to play in one play sesssion each.

The bad reviews are from people complaining there is no Chinese localization. I promise it doesn't warrent the bad reviews.

I was playing this game when Fidel Castro died. If that's not a deciding factor I don't know what is.

It's what every WWII documentary wants to be, and what every 80s movie would have been if Hitler was in them. Oh and there's dinosaurs and scantily clad Vikings.

Skyrim is a great game, as with any Bethesda standard. It's got a lot of Bethesda quirks, like not enough voice actors, but it's a solid RPG and you can't go wrong.

However, I am keeping this negative review as a constant reminder of what transpired on April 24 to April 207th 2015. These were the days VALVe and Bethesda decided to limit the community, modding in particular, to bring in cash to the corporations. It was in guise of helping the modders, but it was not. Modders only got 25% of all the money that the Paid Mods would bring in.

On those days we petitioned VALVe to remove the paid content of the Steam Workshop. On April 27th we had achieved 133,012 signatures against anti-consumerism and greed.

The modding community was damaged. Chesko, isoku, and others had left the Steam Workshop. Chesko had also left Twitter and Reddit.

Always remember, consumers. We decide how our lives are laid out. We can tell a company or companies when they have gone too far.

Everything in life is about death and taxes. Mount and Blade is no exception, though it does manage to make it fun. Years before I bought this game, it was recommended I get it as soon as possible. I did look at it sure, but from the store page it looks like an old RPG that didn't age well and isn't relevant any more. I see now how wrong I was.
Sure I don't have a lot of hours into, but it's been a real blast to play and I've seen people with thousands of hours into it, so I don't see it getting any older any time soon. I bought it during the 2014 Summer Sale, I can't quite remember why. One of my friends was with me and we spent a good majority of our night laughing at how bad the enemy AI was, or the outdated graphics, or the war cries after winning a battle. There was something about riding into battle on a horse singlehandedly against 100 enemy horsemen just to be dragged around for days as a prisoner that was just funny. The entire game seemed like a big joke or parody towards the "European RPG" genre. I put it down not expecting to play it again until my friend bought it himself.
I restarted and decided to actually do the first quest and not go on suicide missions the entire time. What I was met with was a surprisingly open ended RPG that was fun to invest time into. I can't really explain it while writing it down, so I won't even try. I'll put it in a some kind of faux chart because everyone loves charts.
THE GOOD
  • Open-ended gameplay: You can be a merchant or warrior, you can aspire to be a powerful king or feared bandit.
  • Unique difficulty settings: You can start off as a declining noble or a penny-less thief or anything in between. Obviously one will be harder than the others.
  • Amazing modding scene.
  • The fighting system is easy to learn and hard to master.
  • The world is always changing, and should feel alive.

THE BAD
  • Pretty bad graphics
  • The AI is "quirky" and might get annoying fast
  • The game can be really hard, and rage inducing ( at least for me)
  • The war cries.

This product took me be surprise, so I just had to review it. And I say product because this doesn't necessarily qualify as a game. I was on the fence with this for a while because I wanted to expand my gaming genre horizons a little bit and decided that a visual novel would be a pretty big expansion. I downloaded the demo, tried to rush a little gameplay in before bed, and was surprised at the fact that there was none. I finally picked it back up on another day, when I could actually read without worrying about the time and actually got into the text. I was hooked instantly.
I want to use the new Steam Review Feature, so I'll make a quick overview of the visual novel here.
----------PROS
Nice Sy-fy setting
Unique form of storytelling (I haven't seen it presented this way very much)
Pleasant art-style
Deep subjects
Interactivity
Multiple endings
Korean culture
----------CONS
Lots of reading
Minimalistic artwork
Short Storylines
Korean Culture

I can't think of anything really bad about Analogue: A Hate Story, just know that it isn't a game. It's called a visual novel because there is a lot of reading. If you do not enjoy reading you probably would not enjoy A Hate Story. Another potential problem is that it has more "mature" topic matter. Nothing EXTREME, but it would most likely bore children since it has deeper subjects like ethnicity and sexuality. I haven't finished all the endings or found all the files yet, but so far I've only found 3 pages that might cause a problem. The worst in here is the word breast so far, and I don't think anything is going to get any worse.
I don't like how each ending can be played in one sitting, but there are multiple endings so you could at least squeeze a few more playthroughs out of it.

The product features Korean, mostly only in the names. It won't be a problem though, because Analogue: A Hate Story goes as far as to give you a little cheat sheet so you know how to pronounce all those names. The downside is, the names are really confusing at first but that only helps make the story more submersive later on. If I remeber correctly, it's got full Korean support, so that's a plus too. If anyone is trying to learn Korean this is definitely something they should look into.

The interactivity is hard to explain. One thing over people seem to have problems with is visual novels with only the words and pictures and scenes. This isn't the case, and you'll need to do a lot of clicking and typing to complete stuff. (Keep in mind that that's all you do gameplay wise.)

It's got an anime/manga artstyle, but it's not intrusive and it shouldn't scare you away if that kind of stuff isn't your thing. There could have been better artstyles, but the manga one conveys the message well. It conveys the story better than a more realistic approach would for me, and it keeps in line with most visual novel styles that I know about.

When I started it up and actually read everything, I wasn't expecting anything too good, but I kept reading and got interested in the plot. When the demo ended I bought the game instantly and kept playing. If you aren't sure about this product and haven't tried the demo, I highly recommend it.

It just blew me away personally, and it made me want more. I'm definitely going to try to read everything in this and the sequel. The best part is, it sparked my interest in the Koreas and Korean, and I'm wanting to try to learn more about it.

Well, I'm tired and should be in bed as of the time of this review being written. I hope I could at least help someone.
