FORTUNE AND GLORY!, one of the most iconic quotes in the franchise, and one that describes this game the best.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle attempts to return to the roots of the character and the franchise, and succeeds, masterfully, in its entire experience. The setting is there, the classic adversaries are there and the music... damn they nailed the music. Not to mention they've done a spectacular job recreating the cinematography of the original films, with those signature harsh shadows, vitiated environments and the shots so characteristic of Lucas and Spielberg's golden age. As a big fan of the original films, I have to say that they have done excellent work.

The game, at the level of emergent gameplay, manages to make you feel as the character. For example, in one of the areas of the game, I had to infiltrate to the objective, but one of the officers recognizes me and raises the alarm. I realize this and run to the nearest alley and sneak through a window, waiting to see if they lose track of me. As I listen for them, I peek out the window long enough to see that they are passing through the alley one by one. As soon as I see that they have all passed into the alley, I jump out the window, right behind them, they turn in astonishment, raising their voices to the rest, but I am already running towards my original objective. It doesn't get any more “Indiana Jones” than that.

It's a game that Indiana Jones fans are going to love madly. But I think everyone, fan or not, should give it a chance, due to the fact that over the years I've come to realize that this franchise hasn't aged one bit.

But remember...X never, ever marks the spot...Or maybe it does?
