The story grips you like a vice. I was recommended not to play this, and yet I played it anyways, and... yeah, I can see why. You get a max pause time of 15 minutes total, and like in Desert Bus, veering off to the side in either direction sends you back to the start. There's not much else I can say about it — especially from the philosophical angle — without spoiling the game, so I would advise going in as blind as someone who thought staring at the desert sun was a good idea or alternatively someone thought it would be a good idea to attach cables to their brain through their eye sockets.

Play it if you're a masochist or love a good story regardless of how much time you need to dedicate to it.

This game reminds me heavily of a mix of games like Myst, and Ace Attorney, undoubtedly being an inspiration for the exploration-based gameplay and mechanics of the game respectively. It definitely focuses more on the collection and inventory aspect of it, for better and for worse, though IMO mostly for better. It's certainly a hidden gem, as overused as that term is to some extent, and it is absolutely something worth experiencing for yourself.

It's not all perfect, though. The world, while absolutely immersive, was a little underwhelming, and the time I spent roaming the world was time I wish I could've spent getting more dialogue out of characters. It also felt weirdly restrictive, for lack of a better word, the entire map felt small yet huge at the same time, in that the urban sections were cramped, while the mountains were unforgiving to climb (and even punishing).

Nonetheless, I enjoyed Paradise Killer, and I'm sure you will too. Close the door and stay forever, here in Paradise.

Cruelty Squad is an intentionally garish art game that takes itself more seriously the more you give it some time to properly introduce itself. It describes itself as an immersive sim, which is true in the sense that there are many ways to tackle a level, but in a sense it's also sort of a collectathon with many secrets to find. Sadly, the game does not have cloud saves, so if you lose your data, you will lose your save game if it's not manually backed up.

Simple, short and sweet puzzle game, the ol' point-and-click kind. I enjoyed it.

Perhaps one of the greatest VR games ever made (or well, being made), H3VR is a sandbox focused around guns and how they realistically operate. There are many modes to choose from, ranging from a Westworld-inspired scene, a survival horror scene, a few different ranges, a zombie-infested adventure mode, on top of having OVER 400 (and growing) GUNS! I would recommend this to ANYONE with a remote interest in guns, as it's a title you'll keep coming back to, especially since the developer posts devlogs every week.

While you need a VR headset to play, the experience Half-Life: Alyx delivers is well worth it. No other game can come close to this level of immersion, and the fact that it's a new Half-Life game after over thirteen years of weighting waiting makes it even better.

While it had a rocky start, No Man's Sky has significantly improved since launch, having added multiplayer a while back, and has just recently added cross-play for all consoles that can play the game. The game is constantly being updated to add new features and fix bugs, a far cry from how the game was at launch. I would definitely recommend No Man's Sky, even if you were initially put off.

It's a game where you need to micromanage a facility and discover the lore behind "abnormalities" and it has cute girls.
