In 2015, startups, Internet freedom groups, and 3.7 million commenters won strong net neutrality rules from the US Federal Communication Commission (FCC). The rules prohibit Internet providers from blocking, throttling, and paid prioritization—"fast lanes" for sites that pay, and slow lanes for everyone else."

The sorta ♥♥♥♥ currently going through Congress is a direct threat to anyone that doesn't want to have their internet controlled and paywalled. Please read up on www.battleforthenet.com and support the movement by sending a letter to the FCC and/or Congress or calling your senators and telling 'em to shove that ♥♥♥♥ up their ass.
