This game is pretty sweet! I highly recommend you stop reading this now, install and give it a whirl!

This is a top-down space-shooter inspired by classics like "Asteroids" with a unique twist where you swing a trailing mace behind your ship killing enemies, smashing asteroids while simultaneously dodging lethal collisions - a simple formula made rather technical by your skills at manipulating the physics-based reactions of your mace.

Good sound track, unique enemies, multi-kill points multiplier, unique ship unlocks, evolving environment, various game modes and missions, co-op arcade and death-match. The controls are snappy and responsive with the mouse. Nice effects with one minor caveat being it can sometimes be hard to keep track of your ship after exploding enemies.

Drawing circles with my mouse has never been such fun!

NS2 is a fast-paced action FPS, heavily reliant on team-work, strategy and twitch reactions. It's a unique blend of FPS with real-time strategy elements. It pits two teams (Aliens VS Marines) against each-other in online matches. Graphics are very nice, performance is good - the custom made engine (Spark) does seem to be quite CPU demanding, yet a comprehensive options menu allow for various tweaking. Game-play is awesome, sound assets are pretty good.

It's good fun, competitive, but also newbie friendly. Has a great community that are steadily active (so you'll always be able to find a game). It's essentially a game about map / resource control, upgrading / evolution tech research and using various weapons / skills and abilities - it's pretty sweet.

This is a must play for any action FPS fan!

Pretty sweet MOBA-like side-scrolling action platformer with the usual DotA elements.

Decent cartoony-like graphics. Good sound assets and voice acting - including Total Biscuit's contribution to the character Vinnie and Spike. Characters are unlocked by playing - or with DLC purchases (which includes custom skins) - however levelling and unlocking characters isn't grindy at all.

There's a nice variety of skills and unique powers that can be upgraded in-game by collected currency drops / pick-ups, which adds interesting modifications to your skills.

The game has support for controllers and local co-op / online - for those couch gaming sessions with a buddy - in a horizontal split-screen mode, which looks good on wide-screens. Nice drop-in / drop-out system with the AI filling in any gaps for balancing. The community does seem rather active, so finding a populated online game isn't usually a problem.

This game is truly magnificent! it's a turn-based 4X strategy / RPG-ish game in the style of the Civilisation series. Yet it focuses more on action / combat and RPG-like unit levelling / upgrading, less so on civil management - it's the perfect balance between city building, resource economy and combat / levelling.

The spells, heroes, unique items etc are great fun, practical and make expanding / progression both rewarding and engaging. Graphics look great and game-play is solid and intuitive. Good tunes too.

You basically assume the role of a Great Mage, build / manage an army and expand your kingdom while battling other Great Mage's, doing (or failing) quests given by various Gods - which determines a reputation rating - casting spells that rain down AOE fire-balls upon your enemies from the safety of your castle or summoning creatures to your aid - this game has it all!

It's a great system all round, game-play is fun and the mechanics in-still a sense of progressive growth. It's a truly satisfying, visceral experience.

So much fun!

Spectacular turn-based strategy game. Great graphics and sound assets, good story from start to finish, plausible / pragmatic, with short but concise cut-scenes that do a nice job of setting the tone for the game-play.

True to the original X-COM it's very unforgiving and challenging to the very end. It implements a tactical turn-based combat system - in isometric view - which is really quite fluid and adds to the immersive, cerebral experience.

What makes this title so special is it's ability to convey an atmosphere full of suspense and impending doom, which is a theme that plays throughout.

Highly recommended.
