It's really janky, movement styles are meh. I got used to it enough to beat a level or two but just get beatsaber or pistol whip, they're way better execution. Only got this because I saw a reddit post and wanted to support indie devs. Oof was I burned on that

Nostalgia Simulator, let your friends and family go to their childhood neighborhoods and stuff, blows everyone away. Especially if your city is 3D mapped, you feel like godzilla haha

Not worth 10$, dunno if it's even worth it on a sale. Maybe if it was 99 cents. It was cool to see the interactions as a tech demo for an RTS/god game, but the content only lasts 30 mins and that included me going a second time to mess around.

custom songs and mods make this game, especially when you know the song and all it's intricacies so the blocks flow really well and easily to it

this was easily the best VR game, if not one of the best GAMES I've ever played.

Some minor gripes with interactions, like I wish there was more melee or I can jump without tele but I understand it's out of need to appease to the people who don't have VR legs.

But other than that, the polish on the story/environment was unmatched to anything I've ever played. Felt like being in a movie. I'm really not the type to play single player games, they don't grab me (ie I get bored before I finish as I'm not invested in the story) but this was like reading a book you can't put down. Really humbled to have been able to experience this, excited for the future :D

its the culmination of everything VR has to offer just far and its great, its the first game to truly challenge me in a long time, and I enjoyed working thru it. 36hrs to beat it. loved the aesthetic and the vague story line, presentation wise it was right up my alley

Easily one of the best, if not the best VR games out on any platform (which is to say all of them pretty much)

*edit* honestly it's kinda fallen off the wagon, its still a excellent game (if you play with friends and not matchmake with screaming kids) but the devs have focused their attention on providing player tools to make maps and stuff ala roblox- which is cool and all but pale in comparison to actual unity developed maps like they make. the best content is the official maps and they could really use more maps and stuff overall but they want to offload content creation on players and pop out more cosmetics. really a shame, used to love playing this- it was one of the best VR communities but as they integrated psvr player, oculus player, and especially 2d pancake users the user quality really diminished. kinda a catch 22 because it's hard to maintain a playerbase in VR but i'd rather have a medium/small player count with quality over quanitity

it's just completely become a roblox clone, not even focused on VR. so much mtx greed, I really can't recommend this game anymore.

this game is amazing so i'm just going to comment on the PC aspect of it vs switch etc

this is the superior version, only on PC was I able to host a 24/7 20 player farm on a huge custom farm with over 90 mods for QoL and other random features.

It's like a parkour mario kart. It's a great workout and I wish more people played it all the time, however the lobbies are almost always empty when I play. I'm not even sure what they could do to improve that, since it suffers from low VR players to start with and then its a pretty physically demanding game so my play sessions are like 30-40mins max and Im sure others are probably the same so people come and go quick.

The learning curve is steep. Do all the tuts first and then do the time trials as well, the time trials are all maps based around one concept (like jumping, braking, gliding) so it's really an extension of the tutorials that you can jsut so happen to speed run if you want. The actual races require you to at least know how to excute every skill somewhat to keep up. If your bad at say climbing, then you might do well in a race and then mess up at that part and just fall behind.

But once you get all the concepts down, WOW is it fun to move around. It feels like counterstrike surfing, the freedom you feel is crazy, you speed run like crazy double jump into climbing wall that you scale in a couple tosses and then cut around a corner with ease into a power boost that makes you fly to somewhere that seems like it's out of bounds but it really a shortcut. The flow in this game is spot on. It's really enjoyable once you get it and well worth putting in the effort to learn.
