There's really no easy way to express just how much I love this game.
I've been recommending this game to all my friends!

But let's talk about the gameplay. You probably already know that this is retro styled metroivannia game, and it lives up to that claim! At the start of the game, this holds your hand in a subtle way, allowing you to learn how the game generally plays, but the moment you leave that tutorial it lets go of your hand. You're off on your own, there's no dialog or map telling you where to go next, you're left to your devices. It's daunting at first, this kind of gameplay isn't really common place in modern gaming, so it can be daunting to some players. You'll travel around aimlessly, come across a nice area and to go through only to get stuck not knowing how to advance, so you turn around and find a new area and this repeats over and over. But along the way, you come across new abilities, each new ability turns what you knew about how the game plays and it opens so many new possibilities, you turn back to that area you remember you had problems and you finally progress! ......Only to be met with a new hurdle.... But this is the beauty of exploring this world, no matter what you do, you already progress a little bit. Sometimes, you find clever ways to use the movement mechanics, you cheese your way through an obstacle, wast that intentional or did you just outsmart the game? Maybe you were just clever because later on you find a new ability that would have effortlessly help you clear that area! Each new ability is like a new toy, letting you experiment and explore in different ways, you end in places you never noticed, reach places you couldn't before! You might be lost most of the time, but you feel like an explorer, and along the way you find new clever shortcuts.

The combat is another thing to talk about! Combing the movement mechanics and combat, you;'re able to fight in many effective way, However, while combat is present and if you're not careful you can get bested, combat isn't the front and center stage. A lot of the time, you'll feel isolated in this world, alone, things aren't right here, it leaves you to wonder what this world was like before you came along, So you keep exploring.
The story is short, sweet, and simple. This isn't an indie game where things appear simple but there's actually a mountain of lore and a community with even more heaps of theories, sure there are some things to speculate on, but it's simplicity is handled in the best way, and it's a breathe of fresh air. Part of me wishes there was more to sink my teeth into, but another part of me respects that it probably didn't want to over stay its welcome by putting you through hours of text boxes. This is a game in a dream, so maybe leave a little to your imagination.

I adore the graphics of this game alot, it brings me back to a simpler time, back during the N64 or even Dreamcast era. I don't say this lightly, I often feel alot of games trying to be so retro don't often hit the mark and often feel like they were developed by people who never grew up in that era of video gaming. The modeling, shading, texturing, and rendering is all handling so beautifully, its alot of the little details that remind of me of childhood with video gaming Watching videos on youtube bring me a smile on my face, it makes me feel like I'm watching super old gameplay at times. I have nothing but respect for the art direction this game took.

To conclude my review and to try and keep it simple from here. Get it. It's cheap. Its a great game.

Also, it has a modding community. In this this review is put out, it's small, but it's there. Right now it's just costumes, a randomizer, and other small things, but people are starting to put in the work to create custom levels, so keep an eye out!

As a note to the creator of this game if you're reading this, thank you for this game! (Also please make Pseudoregalia themed stuff for the point shop, I want a Sybil background for profile, cards, badges, etc LOL)

Also, that goat bunny cat girl is caked the ♥♥♥♥ up. I'm not even ashamed to say I've gone feral for her!
