the skill floor in this game is stupidly low. anyone can pick it up, learn the basics, and go from there. the skill ceiling, however, is one of the highest in any competitive game.

source, or source 2 for that matter, is an incredible engine, not only for it's timeless gorgeous graphics, but it's refined physics engine and it's reliability to majorly break as little as possible, not to mention it's immense modding capability, all packed into a considerably optimised build that runs on most mid-end PCs at high, competitive framerates and resolutions.

counter-strike 2, however, has one of the most TOXIC competitive communities I've ever met, only second to Valorant & League of Legends. but, keyword, competitive. the casual community, it being server browser modded servers or just the casual gamemodes matchmaking, is pretty chill.

all in all, a great competitive game to scratch that itch if you care to learn a thing or two and got some friends to play with.
