What a fundamentally perfect piece of media.

Writing my review at 69 hours because haha funny number.

This game slaps. Awesome cast with something for everyone, infinite flexibility for playstyle and team composition, and it STILL has some of the best netcode on the market. It's regularly on sale for like, $2.50 for the base game as well. As of the time of writing it's still getting updates, which is UNHEARD OF for an indie fighting game from 2012.

Get you some Skurls for less than a slice of pizza. Now.

Hoo boy. This game is bad. So Dark Souls lives and dies on two things; combat and worldbuilding. What happens when a game has neither? Dark Souls ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 2. The combat feels like piloting a drunk parrot. The world is about as interesting as an empty McDonalds bag, complete with grease stains and just as brown. Not even co-op with friends could save this abomination. It's like an officially sponsored bad souls knock off. I want my life back.

The only redeeming quality in this game is that by the end with the right build and weapons, you can get some big numbers on the screen and that can be funny. But you wanna know what else can do that? A calculator.
