Genres I love include detective/crime, mystery, adventure, point-and-click, horror, survival horror, zombie and FPS... but I have been known to play the odd RPG.

My priority when gaming is an immersive environment and a good story. An excellent soundtrack is a bonus. If it makes me think or make difficult decisions, I am a fan. I don't shy away from indie games; a lot of times I prefer them. I dislike MMOs and prefer two-player co-op or smaller multiplayer games (like L4D2, Borderlands or Resident Evil). And, of course, a lot of my favourite games are single-player too and often times that is just what I am in the mood for.

Ever since I was a kid, I have loved adventure games. I remember playing the Monkey Island series in my cousin's basement when we were kids and also the Leisure Suit Larry games when I was far too young. I enjoy old school adventure, point-and-click adventure games... I love all the reincarnations of this genre like Cognition: An Erica Reed Thriller and the Sherlock Holmes series. I really appreciate action/adventure games like I Am Alive and Tomb Raider that work very hard to immerse you into a very gritty and sometimes grim world - I like the challenge of survival. And Telltale Games holds a special place in my heart. I have loved every game they have ever released, especially The Walking Dead series, The Wolf Among Us and Tales from the Borderlands. Epic writing, fantastic immersion, and interesting and dynamic characters and relationships.

I love cute indie games like Machinarium and World of Goo. Sometimes I even like games that make my brain hurt, such as Portal. Or sometimes I just want something fairly mindless but still somewhat challenging, like a good zombie game such as L4D2 or Dead Island. I have been also known to enjoy classic beat 'em up side scrollers like TMNT and X-MEN Arcade (which they really need to port to PC/Steam).

If there is one thing you should know about my gaming habits, it is this: I love survival horror and horror-themed games. Alan Wake, Dead Space, Amnesia, The Walking Dead, F.E.A.R., Left 4 Dead 2, Killing Floor, Dead Rising, BioShock, you name it. I love being scared and I don't mind some gore.

My all-time favourite games are crime/detective games such as Sherlock Holmes (series), L.A. Noire, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter and Murdered: Soul Suspect. I love any games that involve interrogations, crime scenes, gathering evidence, deduction and decision-making skills.

My three favourite games ever made: Alan Wake, L.A. Noire and The Walking Dead. These are the three games that captured me on such a psychological level and completely immersed me in their environments, which were both magical and realistic. The music was amazing, the protagonists were well-developed, the stories were completely engaging and emotionally captivating (sometimes to the point of tears), and they were games I wouldn't question playing a second time.
