As a modder who spent hundreds of hours making content based on The Thing, and who owned this game back in 2002... the wait was worth it! A wonderful remaster that would make John Carpenter himself proud.

Nightdive Studios, is the master of remasters. I've always had full trust in the developers at Nightdive, no blood test required! If you're a fan of the 1982 film The Thing, this is a must buy. Take your old crappy copy of the 2002 version, and burn it with a flamethrower, it's no longer needed. The remaster is the new cell intruder that will take over the entire world, and this time a lot faster than 27,000 hours :-D

Better gameplay, graphics, lighting, more atmosphere, more nods to the films, and optimized for modern PC's. Only downside is that the game is short. Short, but a fun ride. Hopefully Nightdive Studios reads this message... please, if The Thing remaster sells well... work with the original developers again, and go make The Thing 2 that was cancelled long ago. The assimilation is not complete without it ;-)

Ready Or Not + Resident Evil = SCP 5K.

The most fun I had playing an alpha game. Full of nightmare fuel, atmosphere, monsters, paranormal activity, and plenty of tacti-cool weapons. I never buy alpha games, but this one I wanted to give a chance, and I have no regrets!

The developers are still updating the game, and it's only 20$, with the alpha tag on it, not a bad deal if you ask me. As long as the game is fun, it works, and the developers continue to update the game... I'll be happy.

The biggest issue I've seen so far is optimization. It plays smooth for the most part, but you have to tweak the settings to find that sweet spot. The fps drops can be a kick in the balls, and immersion breaking.

A few bugs when monsters die, weird blur effect, and minor wall clipping issues. Regardless of its flaws, it's still a lot of fun to play with friends.

The game is on its way to greatness, but more work is needed. Good luck devs!

More than just a game, a work of art, and a haunting prediction of the future more relevant today than ever before.

This was the 1st Metal Gear Solid game I played as a fan back in 2001, on the PS2. At the time, I lived in NYC, in a place overlooking the George Washington Bridge, very close to the Hudson River. Sometimes, me and my friend would sit there mesmerized by the bridge always thinking "this is where Snake made his epic jump!"

Anyways, the PC port is awesome, great graphics, optimized, and mod friendly. Plenty of mods for players to install to enhance the graphics, sound, higher resolution, and fast fps. The atmosphere is top notch, filled with memorable villains, fun boss fights, and lovable characters that stay with you long after the game is over.

If tactical stealth is your thing, and you enjoy great story telling, this is a must buy! One of the greatest, and most ambitious video game... ever made. Pure gold!

Turok 2 is an ambitious sequel that takes the best elements of the original game, and elevates it to a larger adventure.

If you enjoyed the original game, you'll definitely enjoy Turok 2. If you played the original Turok 2 on the N64, and actually managed to beat it as a kid, you're a dangerous man I definitely don't want to mess with, because this game is tough!

The level design is beautiful and unique, however! Prepare for a endless maze hunting down magical feathers, keys, dinosaurs, aliens, insects, cave beasts, and zombies! Turok 2 feels like a collection of multiple popular sci-films. There is a touch of Stargate, Aliens, Predator, and Starship Troopers within the dna of Turok 2. Everything the body needs!

I was able to complete all the mission objectives, and find all the feathers, but for the life of me couldn't discover all of its secrets to unlock the final boss fight. Dam you Turok 2 for beating me as a child, and then again as a full grown man! X_X

Either way, it was a fun ride, a wonderful remaster, and a blast going down memory lane!

Very few games stand the test of time, and Turok is one of them.

Back in 1997, when Turok first made its release on the N64 it was cutting edge, and one of the most violent games on the market. Turok is a mystical, bloody, dinosaur, sci-fi action shooter. Imagine creating a story that revolves around a bad ass native american warrior, taking on dinosaurs in a bloody adventure deep within the jungle. Sold!

This remaster is a wonderful return to an old, legendary, forgotten gem. Still, a solid first person shooter, full of challenging mazes, a beautiful score, secrets, and fun dinosaur action.

Metal Gear Solid 3 is arguably... the greatest video game ever made. Gun to my head, if there was only one video game I could play for the rest of my life, it would be Metal Gear Solid 3.

Now, you came here to see if the negative reviews are legit. It's a lot of cry babies with their beaks open waiting for Konami to vomit instant miracles. Look, I get it, I wanted high tech PC options too. On PC the game plays butter smooth, and still looks great. I can't tell if it's 720p or 1080p, but the biggest thing I was looking for was a constant 60 fps in heavy action, all the way through. It didn't disappoint.

However, I'm hoping Konami adds more features in future patches...
- 4K support,
- Ultra wide support.
- Unlocked fps.
- HDR
- Keyboard and mouse support.

Overall, if you're a big MGS fan, always wanted these games on PC, and wanted better performance over the consoles, this is a buy! I'd recommend buying MGS3 and MGS2 only. Skip the full 60$ release, because MGS1 plays like trash, and looks trash. You're better off installing Duckstation, installing MGS1, and enjoy the endless graphical enhancements.

Rarely refund games, but this game is a horrible experience!!

I know, you love motorcycles, and you want a fun and serious game, to ride motorcycles. I get it. You came to the wrong place sir!

This game is so frustratingly hard, you'll soon see, that you made a grave mistake buying it within two hours of playing it.
There is no learning curve, it's just an unnecessary, un-fun, stupid game. Ride 4, is so torturous, they should use this game to torture terrorists for information. Just force a terrorist to play this game, and I swear they'll tell everything. That's how un-fun, and frustrating this game is.

Ride 4? That's not an accurate title for this game. It should be called "Crash Simulator 4," or "Torture Chamber 4," or "UnFun 4." A game so hard, the time and energy it takes to get good at it, you would have had an easier time getting a real motorcycle license, and probably having a blast learning, and driving a real motorcycle!

If you enjoy fun, do not buy this game. Buy Ride 3 instead, it's a much more balanced game, between fun, and challenge. Ride 4 is a torture chamber, that will make you punch holes in your wall. This game will make you throw your controller against a brick wall, shattering it into a million pieces, and then dropping to your knees begging for mercy.

Dead Space is all of my favorite sci-fi horror films wrapped into one universe.

What happens when you mix Alien + Event Horizon + The Thing? You get Dead Space. Need I say more? Do I even need to sell you more on this game? Is this even up for discussion beyond this point? Ugh, fine, I'll continue to sell you on it....

As a huge fan of Dead Space, who read the comic books, own both animated films, own all the Neca toys, and spent countless hours revisiting the Ishimura, this remake is a masterpiece!

The graphics, lighting, sound, music, and gameplay, all come together seamlessly as if you're watching a big budget live action film of Dead Space, no cap! It's more than a remake, it's a remake for the most hardcore fan of Dead Space who understands what makes this universe so special, and haunting.

However, the game does suffer one flaw which prevents it from being a 10 out of 10. The semi annoying stuttering you will experience when traveling into new areas. The good news is, it's a split second stuttering, and the game quickly goes back to playing silky smooth again. I recommend for the best experience if you have a Nvidia card, create a Nvidia profile, set the game to 60 fps, set the ingame settings to 60 fps to match, don't use RTAO, and you'll be fine. Lastly, avoid constantly changing the in game settings, because it can make the game unstable. Set it once, restart, and enjoy!

I love everything about Dead Space, I hope to see a Dead Space 2 and 3 remake, followed by Dead Space 4,5,6,7,8,9,10 and so on. I want more Dead Space animated movies, I want Dead Space live action films, I want more Dead Space merch, etc etc.

Just give me more of Dead Space... to MAKE USE WHOLE, again! 0_o

ALTMAN BE PRAISED!

I never thought I'd play a game more bloodier than Dead Space. A glorious, gory, sci-fi horror gem. Underrated!

The Callisto Protocol takes sci-fi violence to a whole other level, and exceeds your thirst for bloodshed in a horror game. From the darkest corner of space, prepare yourself to fight off the "Biophage," which are the most disgusting abominations from your worst nightmares.

The combat in this game is fun, satisfying, and absolutely brutal. Pump your enemies full of led, smash their brains in with hand to hand combat, or throw them across the room with your "gravity restraint projector," into sharp spikes. Sounds like fun? Of course it does! And if you're a true horror fan, and a twisted mofo like me, you'll definitely enjoy the brutality this game has to offer.

The story and atmosphere is on point. The graphics are absolutely gorgeous. A brutal, but yet beautiful looking game. The characters and actors are all top notch, and elevated the quality of the dread. The Callisto Protocol feels like you're in a big budget sci-fi horror film, and a really good one. No live action movie needed, the game is the movie.

A game for the entire family! Yeah... no! Hide the wife, and hide the kids, because you'll be covered in Biophage entrails in no time :-D

Now, the biggest reason the game got negative reviews is because of how unoptimized the game was on released day. However! Before you bypass this game, there are ways of tweaking the settings, so your game plays smoothly. This is what worked for me...


*** Tested with Nvidia RTX 3070 ***

- Open Nvidia control panel, select program settings, add The Callisto Protocol.
- Once The Callisto Protocol is added, scroll down to "max frame rate," I set it for 60fps.
- Start The Callisto Protocol game, go into settings, set the frame rate to match the Nvidia frame rate, which is 60fps.
- If you normally play games on 4K, consider lowering the resolution a little for The Callisto Protocol.
- Turn off RT options, set the shadows to low, everything else can be set on high, and quality.
