Fun game about giving out laws. The original problems I had with the game are basically fixed so I would say it is about a 9/10 now. Really recommend it.

I created this review years ago when I first initally played this game and enjoyed it. Finally years later I have 100% the game along with beating Viking Conquest and trying the waters of the other two expansions. With that said this is probably one of my favorite games of all time. I love the simple but hard to master combat that you can really test the skill ceiling of in MP. Even with my completionist status and a couple hundred hours I still suck in the MP lmao. That with the buildup from a single man trying to get by to becoming lord or even king of one of the kingdoms is such a difficult but fun progression. I love raiding other kingdoms to make profit and having to delicately select where to raid or who I can or can not fight as I help my kingdom expand and eventually take Calradia. It allows you to do so much that I didn't even know I could get married until 200 hours in and watching some reviews (thanks Sseth). This game has its jankyness with the exact systems of how things work, the graphics, and ai, but I think all of that gives it a charm that helps my experience overall in it. If those bother you as well you can install the countless mods it has that allow you to overall certain mechanics or change the setting of the world completely. I always go back to Native but do occasionally find it really fun to play around in Floris, LOTR TC, or the Japan TC. With all that said, I give it a 10/10 and if any of what I said interested you then I highly recommend you go play this butter-loving game.
