The reason I've put I would recommend this game is because of one reason the groundwork is there for the best driving simulator since the O.G AC (Assetto Corsa) I wanna start by saying it 100% is early access and use that as a warning, the game obviously is incomplete, when you start the game there is a detailed road map (pun intended) outlining whats to come and the intended date. At the time of typing this the game features 20 cars and a handful of Circuits the cars range from road cars and GT cars. also the servers are down as well Kunos has addressed this and be aware to access the single player side of the game you do need an online connection...this isn't an issue for me but for some it can be! one last thing to be aware is Multiplayer isn't in the game yet! Kunos has outlined its coming as well as the free roam which i'm excited for.

With that said I will outline what I personally like and dislike about the game.


The good parts of the game is the quality of the cars the level of detail on the 20 cars you get currently is amazing. The entire dash and MFD of the cars is rendered and works.

Graphics, Right now are good but unfinished once again the car quality is fantastic and some tracks perform better than others (looking at you Bathurst) some optimization is really really needed, your going to need a beefy computer to even get 30 fps on triples if your lucky. I use single screens and can get decent performance on medium quality which still looks fantastic. I've honestly not run into to many bugs right now and honestly I think I've just got lucky.

Physics are by far the most important and this is where they've really nailed it in my opinion. Obviously this is subjective to me as I've never actually driven a race car (I ain't that rich) but from what other games I've played from Forza, F1 series and AC and more the physics on this game are amazing, the car leans and feels heavy into the corners you can tell what the car is going to do and it does feel realistic the rumbles across curbs you can tell where your losing grip etc.

Weather system is fantastic the seamless rain and my god the whole racing in the rain at night is great! its really really immersive!

Force feedback is fantastic I'm racing on a Moza R5 base and to be honest the force feedback is nice I'm using a preset for AC so I could get it better waiting for some configs etc from the community any good links let me know in the comments, but my wheel worked out of the box but i can't comment for others in the community.


AI, I race at 90% the default and the AI is alright, they could be alot better...alot of times while I'm racing cars will just drive into the back of me like I do not exist, I do like that the AI makes mistakes and battle and will race you hard, but alot of the time they will just drive you off the road and act like you are not there, I know i'm not the best and maybe I break a little early for some corners on tracks but real racing you either take another line and overtake or slowdown as well...you don't just drive into the back of someone.

Performance, Like I said above A massive amount of optimization is needed, be aware of this! the game might not perform that great.

Misc - Bug fixing to be honest, Like I've said I have being very lucky not encountering any major bugs. The only one is during replays the lighting of the headlights tend to be inconsistent.

So in closing of this brief review (although its the only review I've ever seriously written so yeah) I love the idea Kunos is going for here. EVO is early access its not finished don't be angry about an Early access game being unfinished this is exactly what early access is designed for, I have faith in Kunos and they've given us two amazing sims already AC and ACC so give them time to cook, if that is a problem for you then don't buy until game is finished or more features are added...be aware of that! Update broke the game, no response from Activision at all...you can't even contact them on their support page for help either you just get a page saying make sure your PC is up to scratch
