As a long-time fan of the original Cities: Skylines, I was excited to see the sequel. Many things that were frustrating or needed improvement in the first game have been addressed here. Visually, Cities Skylines 2 is a significant leap forward—everything feels smoother and more immersive. Watching citizens navigate the city, driving their cars, and enjoying sunsets over the skylines is genuinely captivating. These improvements make the game even more enjoyable and relaxing.

However, I can't overlook the major downside: crashes. Unfortunately, the game keeps crashing almost every session—sometimes multiple times within a single session. Despite knowing there were optimization issues and potential bugs, I chose to wait a while before purchasing, hoping the developers would iron out these issues. Sadly, the game still feels very raw, both in terms of bugs and overall content. For instance, after investing several hours building a city, the game crashed, resulting in the loss of all progress. I've been trying to save every 10-15 minutes, but even that is not a permanent solution. Ideally, an auto-save feature at regular intervals would be a helpful temporary fix.

There are still many bugs, but these frequent crashes are the most frustrating aspect of the experience.

Despite these setbacks, I have high hopes for Cities Skylines 2. The foundation is solid, and it has the potential to surpass its predecessor. I look forward to future updates and improvements, as I believe the dev team can turn this into a truly outstanding city-building experience. For now, though, I can't fully recommend it until these critical issues are resolved.
