More of Nioh-like. Combat is quite fluid and tight. It has Sekiro/Lies of P's parry, but what I like from this game is that there's perfect dodge mechanic. So if you're not a parry guy and more of a dodging guy this game won't lock you out.
There are two boss fights in the demo and both are quite challenging but very fair, my deaths are solely because I was very greedy with my attacks.
So far the available weapons are dual wield weapons (a sword and an axe), greatsword, and spear. Every weapons has their own skill tree and there's a common skill tree.
Artstyle is nice, always love cel shaded graphics.
The only problem I encountered is the game kinda chuggy sometimes. I hope the game would be ironed out on release.

Definitely on my list when it launches later this March.

Even D4 is more engaging than this ♥♥♥♥. Cool combat mechanic but rest of the game is utterly disappointing. Build diversity is downright a myth. Gear and itemization are pure trash and not exciting. After you get your second set of ascendancy points you've seen it all. My character plays the same whether it was level 22 or 84, nothing new nothing exciting to look forward to when your character levels up.

Just get Grim Dawn instead. For the love of God please just get Grim Dawn and all of its DLCs.

Reviewed with R5800X, 7800XT, and 32 GB 3600 MHz RAM, Ultra settings, FSR 3 and Frame Generation enabled on 1440p.

I'm quite surprised with how smooth the game is thanks to FSR3. Unlike other games that utilize FSR, the game still looks crisp and the graphics quality doesn't really degrade that much, definitely unnoticeable.
For those who own AMD cards that can utilize FSR3 + frame generation I recommend turning them on. WIth the aforementioned settings I can reach a stable 150++ fps and there's no stutters at all.
The only issue for me is that cinematics are capped at 30 FPS. I don't own ultrawide monitors so I won't comment on that but there are others who find the lack of ultrawide support insulting.

What you get from the demo is a linear prologue of the game. Haven't played the game on PS5 but I think the combat is fine, if you're not a fan of how FF XV is an action RPG you probably won't gonna like this one either. The combat is your standard of action games' staples: attack, well timed dodge, and counter.
Also I think the RPG part of the game is probably almost non-existent; it's probably just an action game with levels and powerups. I don't find it to be a cons since I just want to enjoy the game for whatever it is.

The darker tone and more mature tone of the story is neat. I'm just hoping that the story in the full game would be at least as enjoyable as the demo.

Definitely going to buy the game.

I like seeing any underdog developers winning.
And this game is a big W.

Not as atmospheric nor as fun as BF 1, but the gunplay definitely has more impact to the visual feedback and has some weight to it unlike BF 1.

- Gets stale very quickly after a couple of matches, doesn't matter whether I'm winning or losing.
- Light's V9S is a nasty gun that needs to be balanced.

A masterpiece that no form of gaming awards would do it justice. The absurd details and the interactivity of the open-world is still unmatched to this day, the main story and all the intrigues, narratives, and Arthur Morgan being one of the best (if not the best of all) protagonist, set a new standard for the open-world genre, or maybe video games genres in entirety.
Anyone who think this that game is boring and too shallow of a content probably has the attention span of a gerbil, and therefore has no right to review any game whatsoever.

Easily the best Battlefield, the immersion is way too amazing in this game.

I've spent about 250 hours back on the PS4 in 2018
returned in 2023, many things have changed, a ♥♥♥♥-ton of new stuffs overwhelms me
316 hours later
it ruined my life

the PVE sandbox is so extra but it's so good
the PVP is unbalanced it's actively making you salty but it's so good

guess I'll stick for a little while
