The UI is hot garbage but the actual gameplay is fun. I've been enjoying campaign and Invasion quite a bit.

I really want to like Halo Infinite. I tried incredibly hard to stick with this game and enjoy it! It's an incredibly fun game when it works, but there's so many hurdles thrown in your way constantly to remove as much fun as possible in the spirit of monetization.

- The multiplayer challenge system is awful and is designed to encourage the player to drop real money for challenge swaps. You will constantly receive challenges that are difficult to complete, or force you into gamemodes you don't want to play or dislike. Progress is incredibly slow as a result, and XP is not rewarded based on performance in games.

- Multiplayer customization is limited to armour cores (and arbitrarily limited, as shown by simple modding) and player armour colour is very limited in order to encourage players to spend real money on coatings.

- Season 1's battlepass has been extended long beyond its intended end-date, meaning new content has so far not reached the game. There are very few maps, and a limited selection of weapons and vehicles. Seeing all the same maps over and over grows old quite quickly.

- Matchmaking isn't great, and frequently results in steamrolling rather than fun, balanced matches. Playing against bots also affects your MMR for matchmaking which is just absolutely insane.

- There's still tons of desync and lag issues, meaning sometimes you will just have rockets disappear after firing, solid hits won't land on enemies, you'll be killed well after entering cover, and etc.

- The campaign, while fun, very much shows that it had a significant amount of content cut.

I think this game may bounce back someday, but the state it's in a few months after launch is sad, and frankly makes it difficult to recommend unless you really want to play the campaign. You're better off playing the Master Chief Collection with your friends... they've probably all gone back to it anyway.

It's classic Halo with a nice new coat of paint. Sure I suck at it, but the campaign is still an absolute blast if you suck at the multiplayer like I do!

This is really all a remaster needs to be. There have been some graphical improvements, most notably texture and reflection quality, on top of an already beautiful game. DLC content that was previously unavailable has been added and integrated into the main campaign and multiplayer. Crossplay has been added (although I haven't actually tried multiplayer yet, still trying to level up my equipment in singleplayer), so it should be a breeze to find a match.

The Criterion arcade racer brake to drift formula still works great in a game like this. Autolog keeps singleplayer very competitive and keeps me interested in replaying events over and over. The cars (almost) all sound great, far better than Forza and The Crew series both seem to be able to do these days. I'm hard pressed not to recommend the remaster over the original. The loss of the Carbon Motors E7, Mercedes SLR McLaren 722 Edition and the Mercedes SLR McLaren Stirling Moss are unfortunate, but aren't really a dealbreaker for me.

A fresh coat of paint on the 2010 classic. I've had no technical issues and have been enjoying replaying Mafia II again.

I knew this was going to include a lot of information about the last decade or so at Valve, yet I was still absolutely blown away by what Geoff included in HLA:FH. The mixed format of interactive 2D video, 3D animation, text, imagery, and puzzle minigames weaves together an incredibly captivating piece of media.

I cannot stress enough how much incredible information and imagery is shared of Valve's shelved projects and what lead up to HL:A's release.

Kona is an incredible game. I didn't encounter any noticeable bugs/glitches during my gameplay which was definitely a plus, and the game ran without a hitch on my system with no frame drops or lag spikes. While the pauses to load areas was annoying, it never took long enough to really anger me. The English narrator was cast perfectly and really enriched the experience even with Carl being silent I have not played with the French narration turned on since I don't speak a lick of French, so I can't attest to that narration although I have heard it is equally as amazing. Visually, I thought the game was beautiful. The stark difference from the lovely autumn drive Carl is taking before the car accident and the snowy landscape after really did a great job of nailing down how cold Manastan really is as the Wendigo strikes the town. The map is varied and quite interactive, and the feeling of old Canada was nailed down perfectly. The vehicles handled well (finish the snowmobile or you'll have the end sequence quite a lot) and I loved that the AM radio in the truck actually sounded like an AM radio! I'm eagerly looking forward to more installments in the Kona series as the developers say that three more Kona games are on the way.

I paid $40 Canadian for this (thankfully out of TF2 items and not my actual money) and I have to say I'm extremely underwhelmed. The original voice actors clearly weren't available (or were out of Ubi's price range) for this and were replaced with some just awful actors. The writing is cheesy and unbearable, there are very few missions based around the cop content aside from the open world stuff, and the arrest mechanic is pretty stupid. There have been no improvement to the police vehicle lighting, so they still have particles with zero alpha masking, weird white corona effects for the strobes, ugly Chinese looking knockoff lightbars, and to top it off, very generic ♥♥♥♥♥♥ police markings. On top of that, there are barely any cop vehicles and they're pretty much all sports/supercars. Where the hell is the Dodge Charger, Crown Vic Police Interceptor, Caprice (old or new), Explorer PI Utility, Tahoe, Suburban, Corvette and/or Durango? I was expecting to at least see the AI cruisers for players but no dice. There's option to change the livery to the different ones available to the AI police in game, no option for unmarked/slicktop cruisers and generally just a lack of content for what I paid. Wild Run being included definitely sweetens the deal for me since I didn't own it before, but I really feel cheated. The chases can be fun, but I chose to spec out the Ford Raptor which is a raid police unit, and most of the chases the game invites me to are for Circuit or Perf racers which I can only dream of catching up to. You're also not likely to ever have players backing you up as a cop, and almost always end up in events with 2-4 racers on 1 cop. Not too fun. I know that the developers were trying to not copy Need for Speed too much, but their formula just doesn't work.
