As of December 2021, the game is still very buggy.

Not as bad as the post release glitch compilations on Youtube showed at the time, but still not at the level of polish you'd hope for.

Steam was good to refund, and I'll continue to wait for the bugs to be fixed, or the price to come down to around $15-20 if the bugs are not eventually ironed out. Disappointing as I loved TW3.

Finished the game. Game is still borked. All the traffic disappears once you start going 60 MPH. Apply this logic to every aspect of this game and you have a game that is still not finished.

If the server goes down, and all 10 players disconnect from the match, because of the server going down, all 10 players will receive 24 hr abandon penalties, of which you cannot appeal with Ubisoft. They will let you open a ticket, but even after live chatting with an agent they won't lift it.

Edit: I've now been banned for 2 hours after the game crashed twice in the same match, and the match ended while I was trying to load in. Thanks UBI!

Edit2: Server crashed again, and was handed a 24hr ban this time. Nice, great work Ubisoft!

Edit3: This time I didn't even make in INTO a match before being banned. This time, I was just in the main menu waiting for a match, and was prompted that I had abandoned a match and needed to reconnect. I tried to reconnect and couldn't, so now I'm banned AGAIN.

Edit4: Years on now, and every time I circle back to this dumpster fire of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, I get banned after the server boots me off. Why am I getting banned for abandoning games that I didn't abandon? Why is this still an issue. This has been a problem since launch. ♥♥♥♥ you Ubisoft

If you're looking for a game that looks and plays fantastic in VR, this is it.

FFB is good, performance is excellent and visuals on Rift S is fantastic.

Pricing model with the DLC is iffy; >$100 is a bit steep. Game is gud though.

This game makes me feel bad.

Fallout is an RPG series that has been stripped of all RPG elements. New Vegas is the definitive entry in the series, give that a thorough go before sinking too much itme in this. No amount of mods can bring this lackluster attempt back in line with other entries in the series. It is simply too dumbed down.

Also thanks for the GimpWorks BS baked in that crippled my GTX 600 series setup. Sweet. Actually switched to AMD over this.

I thought waiting a year or so to buy would be the best time to buy GTA V for PC, but I was wrong. The drop in price did not lead to any sort of value being attained as the game is still unplayable for some people due to a D3D_GFX error. Googling the problem solved noting for me as most discussions on this issue were a year old and the general consensus was to de-clock your video card in order to play for longer stretches of time before the error. Unacceptable R*. Absolutely unacceptable.

Steam was excellent though and issued a refund within a few days. For all the hate Steam gets, they sure do get a lot of things right. Thanks Valve!

I'm recommending this game soley because of its uniqueness.

The thing that hinders this game the most though is it never reaches the scale it needs to be a immersive WW1 game. Bots should've been added (in leue of a higher, MUCH higher player count) so that it isn't a complete meat grinder for those attacking and a snipe-fest for those defending. There's never an "over the top" moment in this game, there are simply not enough people supported in the main game mode.

This is a Great War themed* shooter, but is not realistic in the sense of how trench warfare actually worked. In fact quite a bit of this game is not much more than an arcade shooter. Once you get a keen eye for the enemy, you'll be killing with ease. But the actual gameplay leaves a lot to be desired. Regardless, is still a fun game, though how arcade-y it is makes for very few memorable moments.

7/10 overall
