If you're not me and you love Castlevania, you'll probably love this. As for myself, I'd rather hold onto my GBA carts and just emulate the games.

There's no options to manipulate the color space to address the over saturated colors, most GBA games color templates were tuned around the GBA screen with it's limited color reproduction and lack of a backlight, meaning Dracula's big spooky castle ends up looking very bright, with light grayish washed out shades of many colors that should be darker with very saturated sprites.

Most modern GBA emulators let you tweak the color space to address the fact that you're now playing the games on a monitor/TV capable of many times greater color reproduction and fancy back/side lighting or self lit light emitting diodes.

This version doesn't.

It's barebones, it works, there's a few extras, it includes two 7/10 castlevanias and two 8/10 castlevania. It's great, it's just not for me and may turn off those who remember these games looking a little different on their non backlit atomic purple gameboy advance screen.

-No support for aspect ratios other than 16:9, sometimes they will load for a brief moment before black boxes cover them up
-No support for FPS greater than 60
-HDR display output broken
-Visual stuttering regardless of graphics settings w/ RTX 3080/9900K

I would wait for the patches or play it on console.

Unfortunately it's likely that it won't be fixable by modders due to it's use of easy anti-cheat unless you want to only play offline or risk a ban.
