It's a good amount of fun, and its nice to play if you want to pass the time or relax. I will say that ck2 had many more flavor events that make the player feel more like they are role playing the character, royal court has made this a bit better for ck3. I also will say that ck3 doesn't present too many challenges late game, and while I love the iberian struggle mechanic and the culture blending mechanics I can't help but feel like ck2 offered a bit more to the player as far as game mechanics such as diseases, secret societies, the college of cardinals, anti-popes, the interactions with the Emperor of China, and I think there are a lot more diverse events for the player to deal with. However, most of these things I have mentioned will probably be touched upon later, being as ck2 wasn't nearly as good or polished two years after its release (ck3 is way better for being a 2 year old game than ck2). As I play the game I like it a little more, and as expansions and content releases it becomes more and more enjoyable and varied through each playthrough.

its fun to screw your friends over in uno, and with this i can do it from my room and know that they can't seek retribution from me in person

The open world never seems to get too boring with the nemesis system and the fact that the orcs can learn and adapt as you fight them makes you change your play style as the game progresses. The story is what it is, if I choose to look past the fact that the story doesn't fit with the rest of the Tolkien universe it's not that bad (could be better, could be worse). I like the deep Tolkien references with Numenorean armors and weapons (never imagined what they would have looked like) however the way they try to make Celebrimbor work is kinda not my cup of tea as far as the big picture goes. Makes for a fun game, but hurts my head to think about in the context of the rest of the gigantic story that takes place in Middle Earth. I would say that the game is probably worth the buy at the listed price, but I understand people not wanting to pay full price on a game this pricey, so obviously go for a sale period to grab this one.

I would recommend this game because it has a lot to offer and you can play so many times and you can be sure that you are always challenged and that you will not necessarily be doing the same thing every time. If this game does get a bit boring for you, there is a workshop community with many mods that spice things up a great deal.

This game allows for literally thousands of hours of gameplay without the player getting bored. There are so many different ways to start your game, and even if you play the same country/dynasty the game will not play out the same.
