When i finished read dead redemption 1 I thought i had yee'd my last haw. This game has lit that fire in my belly again, Yeehaw ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

10/10 Would shout "MEEEDIIIICCCC MY INSIDES ARE ON THE OUTSIDE" through team chat again.

I am now no longer afraid to play squad leader.

As a beastmaster i have developed such a bond with, Kronk, my spiderant i'm worried if i don't login daily he will die.

Because i didnt hate myself enough for my real life decisions already.

I went into this beta wanting to enjoy the game despite the fact it looks nothing like any of the other games in the series(which isn't always a bad thing). I have been a huge fan of the metal gear series since I first played them, spending numerous hours replaying MGS1 until the PS1 disk stopped working and i had to buy another, It's arguably my favourite game series of all time (even including revengenance).

That being said this game is truly awful, i feel like the only reason it has "metal gear" in the title is to try and encourage previous fans of the series to buy it in hopes it will add something to the story (it doesn't). The controls and combat are far from fluid, from what i played of the game it seems to rely heavily on melee combat, which in my experience was awful, clunky and some-what reminiscent of "QWOP". By that i mean i hit buttons but ♥♥♥♥ all happens that i want to and my character falls on his face. This game being in beta isn't even an excuse, I can't imagine this game being any better on release, the missions really make this game feel more like a AAA tower defense game than anything else and one last cash grab on an otherwise amazing series before Konami put it out to pasture in pachinko machines.

TL:DR
In a nutshell if Hideo Kojima was dead he would be spinning in his grave because of this title, but he isn't, so i imagine he is spinning in his bed somewhere.
