"Pull a No Man's Sky" is a term that correctly describes this game but it's now used by people in the hopes that they also get worked on as much as this one.

I didn't buy the game on release and waited for reviews to come out. Back then I was really glad that I did as the game came out like crap and didn't deliver on what they promised. Although not the perfect space game, it's for sure the best out there on the market right now. At the time of this review this game has received 18 updates from it's initial release and, as of today, has delivered everything on what was promised pre-relesease and more.

The main issues that I have with the game are (these get frustrating after some time):

1) the game runs on Consoles and PCs and not in a good way. The UI is "hybrid" and we all know what this means (most of the time): poor PC experience. Some QoL features that are expected aren't there because console users wouldn't "have use " (or wouldn't be QoL) for them. I feels kinda of like a port of a console game, basically;

2) that everything is "designed for immersion" (or whatever ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ was in the thought process there) and everything has to have these transitions and other crap that, after some playtime, get extremely annoying;

3) Limited (or clunky) modding: since this is the case, there's not much we (PC users) can do about it as we have limited access to fix these issues ourselves.

Overall I recommend this as the best PC game on the market at the moment of this review as you can get at least a decent mileage out of it. Also a good game to play on and off – maybe play, stop and wait for a few updates, then come back.

TL;DR: Review score does not lie.

If you like complex building and management games, this is a must! You can either overplan/overengineer your base, or just wing it and create a beautiful mess. A VERY rewarding experience for people who like automation, resource management and base building.

It's been a while I've seen such a polished product with this much care poured into it. This is a company to watch for into the future if you're looking for FINISHED products – a developer every other should aspire to be.

If you plan to buy the game to play with your friends, just DON'T. The servers are unrealiable and you never know when you will be able to play.

Very interesting game where every choice, like real life, has consequences. The "right choice" isn't always clear as you will have to keep on going with the ones you make. Each character of this story-telling title has it's own and unique psychological characteristics which makes for a very interesting game of this genre. Recommended for those who like story-telling games!
