One of my favourite creative games, the recent additions of sensors and gauges allows you do do some really interesting things.

'Accidentally' played for 12 hours straight...
Combat is fantastic, getting very 'metroidvania' vibes from the maps and gameplay. Really enjoying it.

Update: Finished the main story, easily GOTY 2019 for me.

Awesome game, fairly steep learning curve for new players like myself... Or maybe I'm just terrible at blocking.
Interesting story concept, great way to build on the current cannon without changing anything.

Few issues I do have:
- Save points are before multiple cut-scenes.
- Limited to 1 character slot until story finished.

Visuals and sound are fantasic. If you're a fan of the series you'll really enjoy this game.

This game is everything I wanted from Terraria but never got.
Now I'm not shunning Terraria, its a great game in its own right, but the ability in starbound to just up and leave any world at any time to go check out something more difficult (or easier) even just travel around to farm resources from other planets is marvelous. Gameplay is really smooth for an open access.

There are still a few balance issues with the weapons I've found but as I said, early access so you can't be overly critical of that.
I can't wait to see where the future takes this game.
