JIST: It's a kart racer with characters taken from many sega published titles. There are PC exclusive cars as well which add great value to the PC version. I would say this game rivals Mario. It is easy to learn with essentially 3 buttons, but can be difficult to master with lots of subtly for the core gamer. Unique transformation mechanics, tons of tracks, and unlocks.

SINGLE PLAYER: World Tour is where you will spend most of your time, with a variety of racing events, and side events that keep you interested and engaged.

MULTIPLAYER: It should be noted that at release Sumo did not include a way to turn off open mic, and it's on my default, which can be rather annoying if another player doesn't notice they have a mic -_-; Aside from that I've had no major issues aside from a app crash or 2. There is a ranking system, however, it seems to suffer from a bug an penalizes you for disconnecting even though you crashed. The points don't mean anything in the end, but it's rather sad to see 200 points disappear because of a software issue.

UNLOCKS: There are a ton of things to unlock in this game that keeps you going. New Cars, Car Mods, as well as unlockable modes, and tracks.

GRAPHICS: Nothing spectacular here, however, the track design is top notch. It keeps you interested and there is a ton of variety with reverse, mirror, and reverse mirror variations.

GAMEPLAY: It's a kart racer with various power-ups and weapons, which is standard in this genre, but what makes this game unique is that your kart can transform between car, boat, and plane depending on the section of the track. The track itself also changes from lap to lap keeping things intense and interesting.

If you like racing games, you owe it to yourself to buy this one.

I use to think that the AI cheated on Expert difficulty, but to be honest, there are subtilties in the boost mechanics that I'm still not 100% on. So the game is fair. If you fuck up, it's you're fault, and you know it.

Ok. Oh and another thing, is there any catchup code? That's the other thing I really hate about some racing games. Because you can never outrun the AI, it'll always be on your tail.

Also looks like you can now post more than 1000 words for recommendations?

Crashing into the side walls...well you can grind into and lose speed.
Yes you can fall off some tracks.

However, I would say that the control system is easy enough that you will not have these issues, unless you push yourself to the absolute limit for time trials, where you must have a perfect apex on corning, and do dangerous but rewarding things that make you faster. That should be a part of all racing games.

Sounds like a fun game. I might get it when it goes cheaper. What I dislike about a lot of racing games is crashing into the side walls or spinning out of control by not staying on the track. It's traditional but I prefer racing games like Diddy Kong Racing or Need for Speed: Most Wanted. Would you say this game falls in the same category?
