Excellent cooperative game play loop in the 40k universe that will have you addicted. Music and sound design is killer. Sadly, this isn't enough to recommend the game as of January 1, 2023, a month after release.

Problems:

> Class variety is limited to 4, with 1 class being almost useless at later difficulties and 2 being nearly identical (Ogryn is the only "unique" class IMO)
> Weapon balance is very poor resulting in "meta" chasing
> No weapon customization at all (want a flashlight on your lasgun? TOO BAD)
> End-game and upgrades is relegated to checking an hourly rotating in-game shop (which is random and filled with garbage items)
> Crafting system isn't complete and provides very little in the way of usefulness
> Lacks fulfilling rewards for mission completion and caps off rewards per-week for doing missions, but you don't always get a reward if you haven't hit the cap (absolutely bonkers)
> Free customization options for your characters are trash compared to cosmetics, with options being slight recolors of the same boring threads
> Optimization for modern machines is piss-poor
> Predatory cash shop model with no way for players to earn "premium currency" in-game
> Lack of a road-map, crucial to live service games
> Monster closest spawns for all enemy types meaning things appear beside or behind you all the time
> Rubber-banding enemies, which will spawn one or two basic swarm enemies beside you for no apparent reason
> Poor network optimization resulting in CTD and disconnects
> Company actively moves goal-posts or removes them completely for features
> Bots are beyond basic AI, meaning you have to play with randoms if you aren't doing private matches
> Company communication is abysmal, with toxic behavior, attacks on paying customers, and pathetic attempts at comedy
> Story is currently non-existent outside a few cut scenes and might as well not be included at all
> Etc. etc. etc.

Save yourself money and wait for this game to:
A) Go on sale
B) Finish adding the promised features (which have been deleted from posts by the way)
C) Fix the overwhelming amount of bugs, balance issues, and performance

Gor-Rok can tank entire armies with his Saurus Temple Guard while Lord Kroak drops nukes from 1km away. You get some cool lore about a shield and hammer from the Old Ones and why Gor-Rok is a special dino. There's also some insane perks where you can get 50%+ off upkeep for your Saurus armies worldwide by end of your campaign. Insane, fun, and you walk the dinosaur.

Oh, and this is all free.

A game that you will sink dozens of hours into and then lose your entire built up team because you skipped scouting the mission area at the start of a mission that was classified as 'Easy' but has an ambush waiting. You will love it and come back harder and stronger for this experience.

Pick this game if you are a strategy and micro management fan who wants to connect with their units and make meaningful decisions that will impact your campaign. Pick this game if you want to pop in a couple missions here and there and not worry about having to dedicate an entire afternoon or evening over and over again. This game is casual but can become a full-time commitment if you want.

+ Modding community is very strong and has lots of options for customisation for those who are looking for it

I got this for free thanks to purchasing the OG Blood for the Blood God and some C.A. event a while back. It's a nice addition that (if your computer can handle it) showcases some crazy executions and blood fountains.

Makes the game a bit bloody. Requires a mod to make it the right amount of bloody. The hell am I paying for?

Great game made even better with the additional content added. The base game gives you access to some unique character builds, but what you really want is mechs and psionic powers. Aliens are fun and creative, borrowing heavily from XCOM of the past. High tactical strategy is required to complete some of the later missions, and playing on Ironman mode makes all your decisions permanent. This game has something for everyone ranginf from casual short games to extreme tactical hundreds of in-game days marathons.

If you like tactical strategy mixed with sci-fi "what if" scenarios then this is worth investing in. I have no complaints.

If you like the Mad Max movies and wished they gave more lore and character development, then this game is for you.

Cars, cars, cars! Guzzoline galore. Fun combat and gunplay. Lots of unique upgrades to play around with for your vehicle of choice. Races. Beautiful everywhere. Amazingly optimized. Dozens of locations to explore. Collectibles that are interesting to get. Vehicles to steal for your own uses. Sand storms... and more!

You can tell the developers put so much work into the game. There is never a dull moment, and you will enjoy every second in the Mad Max video game world.

A must buy for any action-adventure fan.

- Thought about coming back.
- Read some news and reviews on the new additions.
- Researched more...
- Removed the game from my favorites.

Game used to be great fun with friends or even randoms. I won't be playing it again in the current state. Looks up the debate on the new microtransactions and development moving forward. Make an informed choice for yourself. I can't recommend putting time into the game anymore.

Early Access Review
Buying into the early rush of players when this game first came out, I can say now that it is still very early into development and honestly may never feel finished.

Currently there are little to no zombies, players still shoot on sight, and the community is toxic as a whole. Performance has barely increased since the initial releases/updates, and I'm forced to run the game on lower settings to get a smooth experience. Developers seem to halt any advancements for periods at a time which makes the game hard to care for.

If you are really interested in a game where you can survive, you can do much better than DayZ.
