As someone who’s been looking forward to rivals 2 since it’s announcement, I’m honestly mixed. On the one hand, I love the gameplay and the transition to 3D that the characters underwent. On the other hand, there is a surprising lack of content, especially single player. The arcade mode feels underbaked, almost unfinished even. And of course, I’m not a big fan of the microtransactions system (who I’m blaming to a certain ex-blizzard employee involved). With enough time, hopefully this game gets enough content to where I can recommend it. In its current state, however, I’m not sure if I can recommend this to everyone except people like me who’ve been looking forward to a sequel.

The remake helped me get into the series that, before, turned me off whenever I thought about playing the original or sequel. The game is very pretty, with a mix of retro that isn't overdone. The voice acting is also really good, helping you get "immersed" in the space station. There's alot of backtracking, alot of checking what you already have in order to progress, I guess it's par for the course. Not to say I didn't enjoy that, it's very well done, but I ended up being stuck a few times wondering what I was supposed to do, where to go. If you're the kind of person that enjoys thought into your first person shooters, then pick this game up. Everyone else, give this game a chance. I'm sure it'll be worthwhile.

Another game that's severely underrated. If you hated the durability system in Breath of the Wild, this game isn't for you. Otherwise, It's pretty challenging, funny in it's own ways, and has some good characters in it.

A gripping story with some good twists and turns. While it is a horror game, it ends up being more light hearted than expected (which is a good thing because I rarely touch horror games). Had plenty of funny moments, some that were upsetting, some that were heartwarming, and some that were scary in more ways than one. One of the best games I played in a while.

This game has me shaking. The high points that I enjoyed on 2016 were the intense battles and Doom Eternal has much more of that. It also has cool skins. 10/10 best sequel to a modern take of Doom
