Some scriptures below are verifiable with the Dead Sea Scrolls, which are dated 100+ years before Jesus lived. Scholars and historians unanimously agree when looking at all the data: Jesus was a historical person, was crucified, and his followers were convinced that they saw him after his death (One of the naturalist explanations is that everyone hallucinated). Jesus' case of resurrection is unique compared to the other "messiahs" around his time that died, like Simon of Perea, Menahem ben Judah, and Simon bar Kokhba. No resurrection story came out of these people and the Jews didn't expect a bodily resurrected Messiah in the middle of time.

This data has a secondary effect of showing that our modern bibles basically say the same things as what the oldest manuscripts say, and nothing noteworthy has changed. They don't need to be "word by word" perfect, just still have the meanings intact. Translators are very transparent on which parts have alternate readings or have been added on. The Jews today, who deny Jesus, have these verses in their bibles; so them corrupting these to fit Christian theology for 2000 years is unreasonable. Evolution denying Christians and Eternal Hell are understandable roadblocks, but watch the videos in my profile summary for reasonable explanations about them. We are all equally moral failures and need a saviour.

"Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel."
(Immanuel, from the hebrew language, means 'God with us')

𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝟗:𝟔-𝟕 (𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝟏𝐐 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟒𝐐𝟓𝟕)
"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders.
And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the Lord Almighty will accomplish this."

𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝟑𝟏:𝟑𝟏-𝟑𝟒
“The days are coming,” declares the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant (the new testament) with the people of Israel and with the people of Judah."
[...]
"No longer will they teach their neighbor, or say to one another, ‘Know the Lord,’ because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest,” declares the Lord. “For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.”

𝐃𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐞𝐥 𝟕:𝟏𝟑-𝟏𝟒
“In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man (human being), coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days (God the Father) and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed. "
(Jesus references himself as this 'Son of man' when being accused in Matthew 26:59-66)

𝐙𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝟐:𝟏𝟎-𝟏𝟏 (𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝟏𝟎 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥 𝟒𝐐𝟖𝟎 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐬)
"Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion (Israel), for behold, I come and I will dwell in your midst", declares the Lord. "And many nations shall join themselves to the Lord in that day, and shall be my people. And I will dwell in your midst, and you shall know that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you."

𝐍𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝟐𝟏:𝟖-𝟗
And the Lord said to Moses, “Make a fiery serpent and set it on a pole, and everyone who is bitten, when he sees it, shall live.” So Moses made a bronze serpent and set it on a pole. And if a serpent bit anyone, he would look at the bronze serpent and live.
(This is an example of a typology that by itself doesn't mean anything, but then it parallels/ is overshadowed by the reality that comes later. Jesus is figuratively the bronze serpent.)

[...]
"All who see me mock me; they hurl insults, shaking their heads. “He trusts in the Lord,” they say, “let the Lord rescue him. Let him deliver him, since he delights in him.”
[...]
"Dogs surround me, a pack of villains encircles me; they pierce my hands and my feet. All my bones are on display; people stare and gloat over me. They divide my clothes among them and cast lots for my garment."
(Shown in Matthew 27:35-46)
(This Psalm is attributed to King David, who lived around 1000 BC. Crucifixion wasn't invented until the 6th century BC.)

𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝟓𝟐:𝟏𝟑 - 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝟓𝟑 (𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐬𝐚𝐢𝐚𝐡 𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐥 𝟏𝐐, 𝟒𝐐𝟓𝟕 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝟒𝐐𝟓𝟖 𝐢𝐧 𝐜𝐡𝐮𝐧𝐤𝐬)
"See, my servant will act wisely;he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted. Just as there were many who were appalled at him—his appearance was so disfigured beyond that of any human being and his form marred beyond human likeness—so he will sprinkle many nations." (sprinkling was done as part of the old testament law to cleanse sins)
[...]
"He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Surely he took up our pain and bore our suffering, yet we considered him punished by God, stricken by him, and afflicted. But he was pierced for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed. We all, like sheep, have gone astray, each of us has turned to our own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all."
[...]
"For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors."

“They will look on me, the one they have pierced, and they will mourn for him as one mourns for an only child, and grieve bitterly for him as one grieves for a firstborn son.
[...]
On that day a fountain will be opened to the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse them from sin and impurity."

𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝟏:𝟏𝟔
"For we did not follow cleverly devised stories when we told you about the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ in power, but we were eyewitnesses of his majesty."
(Peter/Cephas is one of the 12 Apostles of Jesus. The accounts of the Apostles we have from early Church Fathers say they were all martyred for their faith, except John - he was exiled to the island of Patmos. People will die for what they think is true, but these people were in a position to KNOW about seeing Jesus alive again in a glorified body, and still died for what they claimed to have seen.)

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐥 (𝐆𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬/𝐁𝐢𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐡𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬) 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐮𝐤𝐞 𝟏:𝟏-𝟒
"Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught."
(Luke was the travel companion of Paul. Paul used to persecute the early Christians in his position of power as a Jewish leader, a Pharisee, before becoming a Christ follower himself and having nothing to gain. Paul's 2nd letter to the Corinthians 11:16-33 explains the rewards he got for becoming a Christian.)

𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥'𝐬 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐋𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏𝟓:𝟑-𝟏𝟎
"For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas (Peter), then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have fallen asleep. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me. For I am the least of the apostles, unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain."
(The strong majority of historians acknowledge that the Scriptures/creed that Paul is referring to dates back to AD 30-35. A very small minority go to AD 41)

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟐𝟎:𝟑𝟎-𝟑𝟏
"Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."
(Christian faith is not blind faith, but trust/confidence in the evidence. This particular excerpt is in Papyrus 66, dated 150 - 200 AD, found all the way in Egypt. By this time there's still a "chain of custody" of teachers and students from John the evangelist (from Jesus), teaching Polycarp of Smyrna, then afterwards Polycarp teaches Irenaeus of Lyons. This range can go from 90 AD to 202 AD, when the church was still under Roman persecution. These people, and a lot others, were around to correct any forgeries or lies about Jesus' teachings or what happened, and they would be free from social/physical persecution if they denounced following Jesus.)

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐰 𝟐𝟒:𝟏𝟒
"And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to ALL nations, and then the end will come." (Jesus predicts this whilst poor in the obscure backwater towns of Judea during the Roman Empire to his followers)

𝐏𝐚𝐮𝐥'𝐬 𝐋𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝟏𝟎:𝟗
"If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

𝐑𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝟐𝟏:𝟒⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
"He (Jesus) will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away."

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝟐:𝟏𝟕/𝐋𝐮𝐤𝐞 𝟓:𝟑𝟏-𝟑𝟐
"Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐮𝐤𝐞 𝟐𝟑:𝟑𝟑-𝟑𝟒
And when they came to the place that is called The Skull, there they crucified him, and the criminals, one on his right and one on his left. And Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.”

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟏:𝟓𝟏
Jesus then added, “Very truly I tell you, you will see ‘heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.”
(From Genesis 28:11-13, the story about Jacob's ladder/Stairway to heaven. Jesus is the stairway, and there are many more examples of "Types" of Christ in the Old Testament like the bronze serpent and this. Remember that the Jews still reject Jesus and the New Testament to this day, so they would reject any prophecies coming from him or typologies about him from their scriptures.)

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧 𝟏𝟒:𝟔 (𝐏𝐚𝐩𝐲𝐫𝐮𝐬 𝟔𝟔)
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

There's some bad translations of the bible in English, but I'd recommend the NIV as the go-to easiest to read for a starter, worked on by over 100 scholars. Start at whichever Gospel sounds good to you, through the rest of the New Testament, then move to the Old. Use the principle of charity when reading the OT; it's mostly descriptive, not prescriptive. It's about morally flawed people and God building them up through compromises. I'll tell you the original audience for these Gospels at the end of each line for more context:

𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐰: Heavy/subtle Jewish theology that'll go over your head. For Jews.
𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤: Shortest one. For the Roman "Gentiles" (Gentiles are non-Jews).
𝐋𝐮𝐤𝐞: Detailed, in chronological order. For a "Theophilus", and Gentiles in general.
𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧: Intimate/deep convos with Jesus. For everyone.
