Katawa Shoujo meant a lot to me when it first came out. It's a very good read if you wanna get into VN's. The game has five separate routes for each girl, and each include some legitimately heart-warming, and some legitimately soul-crushing scenes.

The fact that the girls are all disabled in one way or another is not some dumb gimmick played for laughs. All girls and their individual struggles are unique, and they're treated with respect. All of them have an interesting personality quirk to boot, with none of them just being "I am the one who is deaf, I struggle with deafness". That would be shallow, and Katawa Shoujo is anything but shallow. It's inspired over a decade of discussions, fan art, and feels. FEELS.

I strongly dislike the controls

+ You can play your favorite decks much cheaper than in irl
+ Activation prompts help you learn what your deck can and can't do, and when
+ Very generous with gems when starting out; if you pop in daily for your missions, you might never need to spend money at all
+ It's Yugioh, for whatever that's worth to you

- Toxic meta: if you lose the coin flip, the enemy might FTK you and you can't do jack
- Even if they don't FTK you, some decks will solitaire for 5 minutes straight
- Card releases are months behind TCG, and the ban list is different, so you can't take your MD deck to locals
- NOT welcoming for newcomers, Yugioh has a STEEP learning curve and the Solo mode will NOT help much
- Not a great tool for testing out a deck to see if you like it BEFORE you buy, as you can't do practice duels unless you have the card. You'll still need an unofficial simulator for that
- Maxx "C" is not fun to play against, 93%+ of decks run it in higher ranks, it warps deck building, and Konami doesn't seem to care

+- Format is a Best-of-1 and there's no side decking, so matches are fast, but you will have to get used to getting blown out by decks that hard-counter you
+- Ban list updates are (usually) once a month, but they sometimes suck ass, with problem decks going unaddressed for several formats
