I am a part of the Ambassador program for WA. I have had the opportunity to play the game on the test server for almost a month prior to EA and have received it for free. So take that into consideration when reading.

There are several issues with the game that I have had throughout. The whole leveling and questing system is dated and unenjoyable to all but the most “dedicated” players. They want to not be P2W but they add an exclusive title with stat bonuses (5% increase to gold and item drops) that also comes with a pet that gives even better stats. Yes you can obtain a pet as good through diligence and grinding but the issue is that grinding is unrewarding at the moment.

In the test server the requirements for crafting gear was a lot less and they increased it by an extreme amount for launch. They said numerous times they would balance it so it wasn’t as bad but they have yet to do so.

A lot of zealous defenders of the game will say, “Well you shouldn’t have an easy time getting BiS gear lol.” But then they should at least make the experience to get it enjoyable. Instead we have to grind the same trash mobs in hopes for mats to keys to craft so we can enter the endgame dungeon.

A huge issue is the implementation of loot boxes for basic gear. Every 20 minutes of grinding your inventory is full of loot boxes you have to roll on for basic gear. So to do it you have to get out of combat, skip this spinning wheel over and over for like a minute and then look through all the gear to see if the RNG stats are better than your current gear. It’s probably the worst system I’ve seen put in a loot-based game.

I personally don’t think the game is a cash grab, I think the game devs genuinely think these are good ideas. One thing I will hand them though is, a lot of ambassadors complained about the VIP buff that gave you increased atk, def, hp, lower cooldowns, and a few other things. And after a few days the devs removed it.

Another thing that is worrisome is that there is a sub-group of fervent fans of this game that will be triggered by any sort of criticism or observation that could be seen as negative. And a lot of them are ambassadors which isn’t healthy for the community at all.

One thing I do enjoy about the game is the dungeon at 25, it’s the first actual challenge in the game and I wish the rest of the game was similar in quality to it. Some might say, “Well you haven’t reached endgame yet, give it a chance.” I’m sorry but the average player that’s interested isn’t gonna endure 15-20 hours of grinding to lvl 40 to reach the “fun” content.

I will still support and play the game but I also want them to fix these issues in the game, the only thing this game has going for it right now is the PVP that 80% of the playerbase won’t experience. Otherwise it’s just Anime Diablo.

It's not the worst game I've ever played.

I wanted to dislike this game when I first heard it was announced. The whole idea they took a beloved franchise and turning it into a zombie survival game was just insulting. With that being said... I love this game. Gonna buy it day 1.

The only thing I don't like is the camera.
