In 2020, when I was still a schoolboy and the coronavirus had just appeared, I came across a walkthrough of this game on YouTube. I had never been interested in the timeline and history of Doom before, I just knew that this series of games is very cool and famous. After watching a couple of videos, I fell in love with this game and told myself that someday I will buy it for myself and play it myself. And so it happened, I bought and went through this game.

First start
The game greets you with heavy music and you already want to destroy the demons. The game provides many levels of difficulty. I played on the second (medium) because the game is completely new to me and I didn’t want to drop it because of overestimating myself. Training takes place in different locations and at the same time the game brings you up to date with off-screen voice acting.

Gameplay
As I already said, I played at a medium difficulty level and I can’t say that it was easy, sometimes even difficult, especially in large fights. The balance in the game is present, and it is excellent, you will have enough armor and ammunition in the initial locations and along the way you will pump yourself. But do not forget that the developers have tried very hard and made a lot of secrets at each location, with the help of which you will pump yourself more.

Secrets
At first, you will find them yourself with your eyes and attentiveness. The developers did not spare us and hid the secrets well and in some places very well! Therefore, starting from the very first locations, you should be very careful. Secrets are divided into several types: Codices - stories about the place or race with which the location is connected, Toys - an accessory that will be on your shelf at the space station

Vinyl records - each location plays its own music and you can pick up the vinyl for yourself by finding it and you can listen at home, the plastics themselves will hang on your walls like paintings in different corners, Runes - with the help of them you will pump yourself, your arsenal, your immunity and a map, A Blue key with which you open an additional battle for which you will receive Empyrean Keys and when you collect 6 keys you will be given a secret weapon, Computer in Slayers room where you can play DOOM I and DOOM II.

Chapters
Obviously game has 13 chapters. The first ones will be the shortest and easiest, while the next ones will take a lot of time and take a lot of energy. I spent an average of an hour or an hour and a half on one chapter and put off the game for the next day. Each chapter has its own meaning and it is backed up by the plot, but basically you will be tested for strength by a bunch of battles.

The final
The final in the game is divided into large and small. In the small, you have to kill The Khan Maykr, who tried to save her people and prevent the Doom Slayer throughout the entire plot. And a big one - to kill The Icon of Sin. These two battles are separated by two chapters, but the penultimate chapter is so big that I didn't have enough strength to go through it at a time and I postponed the battle for the next day. With new strength, I overcame Khan and the Icon, it took me all 2.5 hours, and I was very exhausted after that.

Pros
The game won the Soundtrack of the Year award and deservedly so, and you want to play through the music.
Secrets , there are a lot of them in the game, they have no linearity, a lot of mechanics and they make you strain your brain.
Killing , the game is very dynamic due to the Executioner costume and its capabilities, fast mobs and moving elements on the map, you won't be able to kill everyone standing in one place, you will have to run a lot!
Weapons unlock as you progress through the game and have unique upgrades that you will buy with special points that you will receive in battles. As I wrote above, you will not be able to stand and shoot, but you will have to constantly change weapons, because on one you will quickly run out of ammo.
The design here is clean 9/10, everything is worked out and has an excellent color scheme, minus a point for uniformity.
Cons
Some secrets are hidden very well and you will have to search the Internet for how to pick them up and for this you will have to replay the mission from the very beginning. So I had to replay a couple of chapters and spend an hour on it.
Sound , at the final battle I started having problems with the sound in the game. Hissing and sound delay, but that's not all, because of this, the game began to show less FPS and the sound became very quiet. After sitting on the forums, I found out that this is a common Doom disease, unfortunately, nothing helped me from the advice and I was left with nothing.

Conclusion
I spent 27 hours in the game and I can proudly say that this is the best action smasher I have ever played. This game is balanced in everything and it doesn’t matter if you played the previous parts and know the mechanics and ideology of the game well, or how I first get to know the game, you will always kill beautifully. I definitely recommend this game to everyone, just be prepared for sound problems .
