One of the rare detective mystery game that really tests your observation, inference and deduction skills instead of offering incredibly obvious hints.

One of a kind Cantonese voice acted visual novel. Give it a try, especially if you understand Cantonese and likes visual novels. Apparently an English translation will be coming soon.

Pros:
- Plot revolves around a conspiracy within a town, where different routes take your experience to different perspectives of the parties involved with that conspiracy. I would say it is pretty well done, and very immersive.
- Adventure themed visual novel, as opposed to dating sim themed. Therefore, entire story is not fueled by romance.
- Great Hong Kong drama style humor + anime reference humor, especially if you understand Cantonese.
- Well-written characters. Tracys is my favorite character. Hope she is more focused-on in the sequel.
- Unique artsyle.
- Amazing Cantonese voice acting.
- 百合万岁!!!

Cons:
- Some dialogue options does not makes sense, e.g.: an event happens after selecting option A, but the same event does not happen after option B when logically it should happen due to forces you shouldn't be able to control. But I suppose that's a pretty common visual novel flaw.
- There is a fast-forward button, but no "skip to next dialogue option" button. But for whatever reason there is a "skip to previous dialogue option" button. This makes collectibles time consuming to collect.
- It is not a story that wraps everything up; there are obvious loose ends that will probably be addressed in a future yet unannounced sequel game. Because they are currently working on a new IP (Noctuary), there is no confirmation for a sequel.
- No English translation (yet, but I heard it is coming soon based on the Kickstarter they did).

TLDR; unique visual novel experience if you understand Cantonese, 9/10.
Even if you dont understand Cantonese, the plot is good enough that it deserves a try. (whenever the EN translation is here)

Story 7/10:
Great dark fantasy lore building through scattered miscellaneous items. Minimal storytelling through cut-scenes. Characters are the highlight as compared to the overarching story. Although the soundtrack is great, I feel emotions are more effectively conveyed through voice acting, which the game unfortunately lacks. However, noticing Lily look progressively worse after each major purification certainly incites some strong emotions , a clever though not entirely unique design. Overall the story can be labelled as cliched, but still certainly enjoyable to learn about.

Gameplay 8.5/10:
One of the better ones out of peers in metroidvania genre. Difficulty is actually easier than its peers, making it a relaxing metroidvania overall. Level design and art is great. Bosses are well designed, except the final boss. Although I get what the final boss direction is going for, I still believe a difficult and cleverly designed final boss fits the game. In terms of level design, some "gated" areas or ledges can actually be overcome fairly early on if you have paid attention to some of the game mechanics, such as Silva's spirit attack causes Lily to flinch backwards and upwards a bit, and can be reset by dodge. Whether intentional or not by the developers, I appreciate a way (without abusing bugs and glitches) for creative/innovative players to be rewarded. This is where I judged that it does metroidvania level design better than most of its peers.

Soundtrack 9/10:
Conveys the atmosphere of a dark fantasy very well. Really impressed by mili's work in dark fantasy music such as this game and Goblin Slayer.

Verdict 8/10:
Great addition in the 2D metroidvania genre with satisfying amount of content (about 16 hours for me to 100% it with frequent backtracking). Of the 2D metroidvanias I have played, I would rank ENDER LILIES above Blasphemous and both Ori games, but below Rabi-Ribi and Hollow Knight overall. Pick it up if you are looking for a relaxing metroidvania experience. Or don't play it so that Lily don't have to suffer anymore. A great start for the developers involved. Looking forward to the next major work from Live Wire/ Binary Haze Interactive.

Don't know the first thing about touhou, but genuinely enjoyed the experience.

Amazing gameplay with interesting mechanics such as time-stop and graze.

Casuals will enjoy the time-stop gameplay, which can be utilized at all times (with the limit of a time meter) for all bosses and exploration. You can sort of design how you annihilate an area of enemies with time-stop and setting up projectiles. Rest assured, even with time-stop the game is not a boring cruise. The game makes you think before rushing, so that you can't exactly clear every area with the same manner. More hardcore players will explore the graze mechanic, and if used optimally bosses can be eliminated in seconds.

Detailed and beautifully animated sprites for both the characters and enemies.

For such a short (about 5-7 hours) game, the enemy variety is amazing. You will never see the exact same enemy after going through areas after areas.

Story is not mind-blowing or anything, but it is enjoyable for a metroidvania, even without prior knowledge of touhou lore.

For post game there is boss rush, which contributes to the replayability.

Replayability only exist due to the fun factor. There are no extra ending or anything to achieve (other than the "no continue" achievement). But the fun factor is great enough that you may come back for more.

TLDR; One of a kind metroidvania with unique mechanics, albeit short content-wise. Could use some expansion. Highly recommended if you are looking for a great and unique experience.

TLDR;
Putting uwooh and cnuy aside, game has good substance and solid mechanics that makes it not only fun to play multiple playthroughs with, but also accounts for variable playstyle so you could experiment and have fun. Pick it up if you like soulsborne, unique and fun action magic combat, or you just simply like the cute and funny. Hot take: Better magic combat mechanics than the entire Souls series and Elden Ring.

Most of the negative reviews are from TW bros that couldn't cope with Hololive being included in the game, or the controversy with Simon Creative.

While I personally do not like Hololive and the simps, I do not care much if it is in the game or used to promote the game. Even though I personally prefer professional voice actors (Konomi Kohara did a fantastic job as the main characters), as long as the talents deliver their job fairly well (which they did except Vanessa's VA), I support it. What I do not support is review bombing a game just because you do not like a minority of the people working in the game, invalidating the efforts of vast majority of other developers's involvement in the game.

About the publisher Simon Creative's controversy, I am not from TW but I did some research about it. In short, Simon Creative seized copyright of some works and is strict towards doujin culture creating doujinshi of works with their copyright. Therefore, TW bros are boycotting Simon Creative, and part of it is by review bombing this game. While I support doujin culture and boycotting of trash companies, please do not invalidate the game developer's (Pupuya Games) work in creating this game. I understand that because of Simon Creative's involvement in this game, a lot of the game's potential is wasted because of budget wasted in Hololive marketing, manga spin-offs and such trash before the game's foundation is even built. But the game itself is not a bad game still, and it is worth the price. Please do not bark up the wrong tree and destroy everything Pupuya Games tried to build.
Though it is only from what I gathered based on observation. If there is anything wrong about Simon Creative, TW bros feel free to correct or add anything in the comments.

Precedence:
I played on advanced difficulty and I am a soulsborne vet. I play this game like sekiro, often trying to parry and absorb so that I could have a high octance magic battle. It is relatively easy to go through the game if you were to play cautiously. I also played and liked it a lot back in early access.

Pros:
-Variable play-style. You can be a p**sy and stay far away to shoot and only melee to get back some mana, or you can go full action and use counter-magic to constantly charge up your spells under a few seconds and annihilate the enemies like a chad.
-Great character designs.
-The main 3 spells are varied and each serve their purpose. There are no useless spells. However I'd say the 4th spell, the lightning spell is a bit too overpowered. Once you have lighting spell you basically do not have to use other spells. Until king of knights Vanessa speeds up too while you're in sped-up state .
-Complex magic mechanics. Although you can't mix magic, you can switch magic on the fly and truly dish out successive casting. Spells have 3 main kinds of usage: shoot, channeled state, and channeled shoot. Every spell plays out differently and it is very fun to explore.
-Great boss design and fights. Tania, Monica, Vanessa and Nonota . It truly brings out their unique souls-like magic combat style.
-Fluid magic combat. Melee is purposely designed to be a bit slow and clunky so that your focus is using magic. My personal favorite however is using the empowered melee fire aura for both bosses and mobs.
-NG+ enemies scales up, so it cant be said to be easier than before. (Unless you spam lightning lmao)
-Great voice acting. Konomi Kohara carried this game so damn hard by voicing 3 main characters. While I won't reach and say that she has a great voice range, but the tone for each character is diverse, well done and true to the character. I do not care much about Hololive, but they did a relatively good job on Tania and Monica. However, Vanessa in my opinion is voiced subpar and monotoned.
-Great rewards for exploration.
-Great atmospheric music that suits the environment.
-Main character development, as well as the switch to True Nobeta, where the moveset and action voice acting changes . Nobeta is relatively well written in the story, as well as the black cat.

Cons (and feedbacks):
-Most of the voice acting is in the item description. While I appreciate lore narration, this budget could be utilized far better in the game experience itself.
-Stamina bar too far from the center. It's hard to keep track of your stamina when you're in action. I suggest the 3 bars (Stamina, Hp, and Mana) switch places with item bar and keep stamina bar on top of the 2 other bars. Other than that, UI design is great and easy to understand.
-Bland level design. The mechanisms and platforming is well designed, however the colour scheme and texture of the walls and environment stays around the same. It makes it harder to remember if I have walked through a part of the hallway, when all the hallways look about the same. Especially so for this kind of game where you have to know the map layout by heart.
-Sub-par Chinese to English translation. I understand both Chinese and English, so I can tell where it's coming from. But it still needs to be improved.
- PLEASE LET ME PLAY AS BADASS NOBETA AFTER THE FIRST PLAYTHROUGH FOR THE WHOLE GAME PLS I BEG YOU .
-Questionable marketing of the game. Just do not interact with the official social media pages unless you're a degenerate. I would have preferred it if they just keep it cute and wholesome without the lewd. Thankfully the game itself is not largely affected by the degenerate marketing except one skin. They were only sucking money from the degenerates to fund their game.
-Needs quality of life changes, such as :
1) being able to access the statue without praying to it first. (adding "pray" option to the menu after interacting with statue)
2) auto-skip boss cut-scenes after the first time.
3) Improve lava death animation.
4) Stamina should not be decreased when running out of combat

Absorption gives a bit too much benefit. I understand it is difficult to time and as much as I love it, it is pretty overpowered. However, it does make the game more fun, being able to instantly charge mana, spell, heal and knockback stagger bosses all in the same time, so I am not sure how to handle it. I really love it tho.

Expectations not fulfilled in full game from the early access:
- English translation is still pretty ass.
- Expected more type of magic, but only levels are added to each magic.
- Not as long as I hoped it would be, but I suppose it is long enough for an indie game of this caliber.
- Nothing changed at all for the early levels that was part of early access (except item collection).

Overall, I give 9/10. Might be a bit biased despite the flaws I've mentioned, but the souls-like combat is my thing, cute things is my thing, difficult video game is my thing.
